    So what is your niche?

What did you promise in return for someone subscribing?

Whatever niche you're in, that should be the subject of your monetization.

So if prospects signed up to get X, you should monetize by selling X or things relevant to X.

How did you make that list? What niche?

Don't email them aff links and except you will get sales.. No! they are freebie seekers, give them content, build a relationship, show them you care... once they start to trust you, pitch them something of value and will help them.

    Few questions:

    1) What is your squeeze page/sign up page?

    2) How did you acquire your freebie leads?

    3) What did you promise them that they will receive when they enter their name & email?

    4) How good is the freebie you gave them?

    5) What are you trying to sell them?

    6) What's the price?

    7) How often do you mail to them?

    8) What do your emails consist of?

Get more leads. Such a small amount to really rely on any data.

    Hi inas911,

    Great question.

It all depends on the relationship you build with your list.

Are they getting to know, like and trust you?

What kind of content and message are you delivering to them? If you're just sending them offers, then you won't get a good response.

Autoresponder Madness is a great training program that will help you get awesome results (I'm not anyway affiliated with this product).

Also, opt in to email marketers lists that you know are doing well and see how they do their email marketing.

How do you monetize a freebie list?

    By sending them offers.

    Its as easy as that.

I'm going to take a guess that you're asking this because you have a freebie and buyers list? If so, you can still promote products to both lists and make money. Buyers list you treat with more care, while a freebie lists primary objective should be to turn them into paying customers.

  • Monetizing them isn't the hard part....

The toughest part is making sure that you're providing them with value.

I used to have a small list of just a couple hundred people in the relationship/marriage counseling niche.

I would have people sign up for a free offer. I would set up the email sequence so that every other day there would be free eBooks and other cool info for free. By the time they hit the 3rd week, they would get a huge promotion of a product, and I would get high conversions. I was one of the top selling sellers for that product.

You build and build trust. Even if they are a list of freebie seekers, you provide them with value. And then you monetize them through selling products to them, whether they are your own or someone else's.

Always make sure when building your list what you offer your list is congruent to your squeeze page.

If your squeeze page talks about facebook then stick to facebook.

One of the biggest mistakes marketers make is redesigning their lists.

The first step is to always know exactly what your offer is and deliver on your promise.

Always provide value to your subscribers instead of pitching, provide solutions that will help them.

You may want to look at your funnel and follow ups as well as your landing page again.
