Coaching program vs. Affiliate marketing forum

I am a newbie. I have just had some success with Teespring. Now, I want to change my direction. I have been looking for a coaching program for a while. Now, I have started checking out forums such as STM and Affplaybook.

Which way would you recommend? I prefer a coaching program to avoid losing time. On the other hand, coaching programs cost a lot, $2000 and above. I know, there are also other programs, but the ones that have attracted my attention are a little pricey.

Again, the question is: Coaching program or Affiliate marketing forum?

Thanks!

    Hey naknak,
It all depends. For a more concentrated and many times quicker way to realize optimum success going with a Coach could be your best bet.

But forums can be good too and the paid ones are reasonably priced at least the ones I have checked out

I never really understood the coaching thing. If people make $10K+ a month why not share the info for free, it's not as if they need the money right? It might be good for some specific niches, but for affiliate marketing this is definately not needed and you better learn by yourself.

This is just my humble opinion.

Probably, they wanna take back what they have invested. $10K+ a month or $100 a month don't matter.

What I don't understand is why they sell tutorials for like "just $27" that according to their claims help you make thousands of dollars a month "easily."

And infitinite "instead of $1497, not $495, not $495, not $197, but only $17,if you click the below button right now!" People still buy that? To me, it is diminishing seller's trustworthiness. However, I am aware of that it might not affect me but many others. So, it is useful for the seller. At the end, it is all about making that sale.

I just don't want to spend $2000 throughout 6 months investing into programs, tools, softwares etc. to learn what works and what doesn't. Instead, I am up to give that amount of money to someone who can show me the way, so I don't waste my time.

Any early/mid-career outside sales guy can make $10k a month, that's only $120k/year, and you'll have a lot more security. If that's your goal, more power to you, but if I'm taking the risk of striking out on my own, there needs to be a much more impressive upside. If you're only making $10k/month, you should probably be looking at additional revenue streams, like, for example, coaching.

    ....and STOP.

If you had some success with one thing, then it is crazy to even consider learning something completely new. I don't know what Teespring is but if you had some success there, go back and build on that success. Read these forums and see how you can do other things with that concept to make it even more successful, or maybe even purchase a course that catches your eye. Giving up on something that's already working is a very bad move though.

That's just my opinion and I'll definitely be in the minority. Good luck either way though.

      What he said.

Just think about it for a moment: you've had some success...
Which is more than about 90% of the people on most of these forums can legitimately claim - and now you want to change direction?

Imagine if Richard Branson said that - I had some success selling some records but now I want to change direction... or Mark Zuckerberg "I had some success with this social platform I created, but now I want to change direction"... or Steve Jobs...

      You get the idea.

Or think about it this way - how much success will you need at STM or with coaching before you want to change direction again?

I'm against the idea of coaching programs, I always get my informations frm the web and for free..

Really rarely when I spend or invest money.

I'd invest those $2000 on testing and buying traffic than throwing them in the pockets of a some guru

Totally agree with kk075, in that you should never take on two different business strategies at the same time.

You will never gain enough traction to make them both successful and will get frustrated; putting in a lot of hard work and not getting results.

Stick with one business until you have it earning you at least a full-time income, before you go into another business...

...but even then, if you're wise, you'll go deep instead of broad. It's much easier to earn more money (and much more enjoyable and less time consuming) going deep in a niche you're doing well in, than to start a whole new niche and/or business strategy.

At the beginning, it's okay to try a few different online business strategies, but when you know which one clicks with you, stick with it and don't get distracted with all the hype out there.

    Hi Nak,

What do you genuinely enjoy doing? Coaching people, one on one, or in groups? Or do you prefer more of an online approach toward helping people? Dig down deep, into your talents and into your passions. See if you like that frequent interaction through coaching or the forum marketing bit, the interaction through an online medium. Really, it's up to you. As for money considerations, think passion before dollars to start your venture out right. If you can fit either venture into your budget, follow your passion. Sounds like you can

    All the best!

  • I have nothing against coaching programs or trying other ways to earn online but if you already have something that has the potential of succeeding then why not focus more on that one first until you are earning a stable income from it. You can always look for other ways once you've established your first IM project.

Forums are too generic and many members see the same advice and copy each other and therefore just push the traffic costs up and compete with each other. With a coach it is 1-on-1 specific advice. Coaching is better.

Just think if you are making $10,000 then why do you sell an ebook for $30?

Is it important to sell ebooks for making more money? Coaching , marketing forums are same, but you can get positive answers from third party forums like warrior forums.

Follow these forums or some popular blogs to have those tips for free to gain more knowledge.

I'd say it all depends on the Coach. I prefer coaching too but you have to do your research to make sure you're not getting scammed. Take your time and spend your money wisely!
