Can I edit creative commons videos OUTSIDE YouTube video editor? with credit back to the orginal video. OR I must use YouTube editor for this purpose!

I don't see why not. As long as you credit the original video, how you edit it shouldn't make any difference. YouTube editor is fairly basic, anyway.

Thanks spearce for your replay. I asked because I read this about YT CC videos:

Creative Commons licenses provide a standard way for content creators to grant someone else permission to use their work. YouTube allows users to mark their videos with a Creative Commons CC BY license. These videos are then accessible to YouTube users for use, even commercially, in their own videos via the YouTube Video Editor.

Attribution is automatic under the CC BY license, meaning that any video you create using Creative Commons content will automatically show the source videos' titles underneath the video player. You retain your copyright and other users get to reuse your work subject to the terms of the license.

There are lots of places on the Internet where you can get CC videos - not just YouTube. You would have to link to the source material manually if you're not using YT editor, but as long as you acknowledge the creator of the original work in the manner specified by the licence, you should be fine.

          Thanks spearce000.

Do you know the proper way to credit the orginal creator?
