Hey, there are lots of traffic methods. Since you made a blog make some viral posts. For example make a thorough how-to post teaching people something extremely valuable. Once you write it share it on every social network you know.

Blog + social media combined together generates a good amount of traffic.
Social bookmarking sites too like stumbleupon and reddit are still beneficial.

For marketing, Pinterest is the best social network presently and the other one is twitter to boost some more traffic. You will gain traffic instantly from these networks.

I would suggest Facebook, Youtube, Blog Signature, Twitter, Pinterest.

I've found some huge groups on Facebook with 100K - 400K members, post there definitely you will get traffic from there.

I'd also recommend Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and Forums. It really just takes consistency and results will eventually follow.

I think the best free traffic methods that will actually bring you a ton of PAYING free traffic are niche forum marketing and niche blog commenting (ex: commenting on Aweber's blog).

Why don't you spend some money on optimizing your funnel and getting customers faster instead of the slow drawn out process of generating free traffic?

Video marketing is a great way to start. Create good and helpful videos in your niche. Optimize your video channel and the videos with your keywords. Place the link to your sign up page in the description of the video.

There is no best traffic source to make money online.

The best one is the one you like and resonate the most.

You can get rich online using only 1 traffic source so make sure you master the one you like the most.

Of course that every traffic source is different but all of them have enough traffic to make millions.

I personally recommend Pay Per Click, Blogging and YouTube Marketing but I believe it's a personal choice.

Hi Alan, I don't know you, your experience or your capabilities regarding IM.

All I can say is that for a new person, getting 1500 'sales' is not realistic in that given time frame [1.5 months].

Especially with FREE Marketing.

You did say 'customers' so I am assuming that you are referring to sales.

Some products can require 10 Leads to make a 'front' end sale.

Other products can require 30 (or more) leads to make a 'front' end sale.

Now how much traffic would someone need to get (1) lead even if the traffic is very targeted?

-Maybe 10 or so visitors?

So let's say [hypothetically] that you may need 10 clicks [visitors] to get one lead X [10 Leads] = 10 X 30 = 300 Clicks. **This is if your 'opt in' page can convert at 10% and that your sales page is very highly 'converting'.

So based on those figures, you would need 300 visitors to get 30 Leads (which may result in a knock over sale if your sales page has enough juice).

So if it did [hypothetically] take 300 clicks of traffic to get 30 leads and one sale, then you may need 300 'targeted' visitors to make one sale.

Now you want to make 1500 sales right?

So 300 [visitors/traffic/clicks] X 1500 = 450,000 visitors for 1500 sales.

Please keep in mind that these figures are not carved in stone.

There are many different determining factors that can change the figures around like:

1- Your Experience

2- Landing page

3- Lead Capture Page

4- Traffic Source

5- Your level of 'Authority' or 'Influence' in each traffic source

6- Sales Page

7- Your Product

and more!

So I don't know where to tell you how to get 450,000 to 500,000 visitors (in that time frame) or so to make that 1500 goal of customers.

IM is skill that we all have to learn how to cultivate over time.

And yes there are some marketers who have the ability to get that type of traffic (and more) in that time frame but keep in mind...

They have probably been online and have years of experience.

But as I said above, I don't know you personally and these hypothetical figures are just general figures.

The tips and strategies that everyone said above are awesome but they take time to 'cultivate'.

Best thing to do is to keep creating content focusing on your targeted niche. Don't only focus on blog posts, but do videos as well. There are also tons of blogging strategies that you can do to increase your traffic. One very effective strategy that I personally use is referencing other blogger's content. This usually gets that other blogger to link back to your blog which brings their audience to your blog. It's really just about creating and delivering value on a consistent basis.

You should also focus on building a list. One thing I think your blog should have is an opt-in form offering something of value. It could be to subscribe to your blog or to get a free ebook on email marketing, etc.

Focus also on growing personally. Learn more and become more. That's the key to attracting more people.

Content Marketing is huge. Use it and disseminate your content via Social Media & Forums.

Free methods can include ( but not limited to ) Forum Marketing, Blogging, Video Marketing, Guest Blogging. Paid Marketing can be Solo Ads, Banner Ads, and other forms of media. Before you invest large amounts of money make sure your offer and ads are converting. Consistency is key if you want to see any success. Don't forget to always be building your list.

Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest or very good places to generate traffic to your blog. Also don't forget Instagram and Tumblr. Use the hashtag email marketing and make at least 2 to 3 post a day preferably in the morning and evening to get the best results. Hope this helps.
