What reasons affects selecting product to promote?

Hello every warrior,

I'm a completely newbie in affiliate marketing, and I'm keep learning for sure.
I'm looking for a product to promote now, and I'm facing some problems

1) How to select a niche? Based on your interests? profits? or other reasons? ( I think this is the very first question need to be answered. I guess everyone has to select a niche and then can start looking for a product to promote, right?)

2) Where should I start with? ClickBank? or somewhere else? I want to start with ClickBank because I'm familiar with it. Do you have other recommendations?

2) How to select a product to promote on clickbank (because I want to start with clickbank)? I mean what kind of sales page will you consider to promote? professional-like layout? strong content? video sales page? Does the sales page layout affect your decision?

Thank you in advanced

Even though I don't recommend to promote other people's products instead of your own, I'll give you a few helpful guidelines. Please remember that it's rare to get profitable when you promote other people's products, so you should seriously consider creating your own products.

As a newbie, you'd want to promote CPA offers when you get started.

    Why?

Because you give away free stuff and get paid for it.

It's easier to promote an email submit offer as a newbie, or even a shipping and handling only offer. The beauty of CPA offers is that you get to see the EPC (estimated per click), so you know how much you can spend per click on that specific campaign BEFORE you spend a single cent.

You don't have that option on ClickBank :-)

If you still want to promote ClickBank products instead of creating your own products and getting paid 100% of the profit, here's what to look at...

    * The product MUST have 100 gravity or more
    * The product MUST have KILLER copy
    * The product MUST have recurring commissions

Always look at the % of recurring billing signups.

Don't go after your passion, go after the money. When you create your own products you can go after your passion, not as an affiliate. That said, if you're an expert in say... Diabetes, it'll be a good idea to go for that niche because it's going to save you time researching the market to understand your ideal prospect.

Always, ALWAYS use a squeeze page before ClickBank offers and build your list. Make sure to give something valuable for free, not junk!

    Hope that helps...
