Hey, what is your experience with buying traffic? I will expect this traffic to be quite low quality, but what kind of conversion can I expect ? Say I buy 25.000 website visits that is said to be targeted within my product area. What avg conversion rate do you think I should calculate with?

I buy thousands of dollars in traffic each day and each source is different quality. Conversions are something you need to test with different sources. When you say you are buying 25k website hits where is that from?

A lot of Websites that promise to send you thousands of targeted traffic are just a rip off.
I advise you buy some facebook ads, set a budget and test and tweak to see
    your conversion rate.

The conversion rate is not simple about the traffic source. Of course that does play a role though. Your site plays a massive part in how well traffic converts.

For example if you send 10000 laser targeted, active visitors to your offer or website but your website isnt up to scratch then you arent going to convert.

I would advise you to test small, tweak everything. Get to a point where you are sure your entire funnel converts well. Then start looking for massive amounts of targeted traffic to scale up.

  • If you're buying 25,000 visits, those visits can be from anywhere so Id expect a very low conversion rate like .05% and below. Traffic is not all created equal and if you want high-quality traffic, be willing to spend top dollar for it. Thats not to say that you cant get half-decent traffic that converts at lower prices, but just expect the conversions to be lower too. Either way, you will have to test each source of traffic for yourself.

    Hi L,

All depends on where the visitors are from, how qualified they are and how much they trust you. I dig free traffic, not because I earned it, but because folks who show up are buyers, because they trust me. Not so much the case with paid traffic. It becomes more of a "volume" game or a "who the hell is this stranger and why should I trust them" game. Nothing wrong with that, I just like learning my niche inside out, attracting folks who love what I have to offer, and converting with greater ease....OR, not converting at all....but offering something useful to folks who want to free themselves through my eBooks, my books and through my services, as well as my affiliate products.

All the best with your campaign!

    Yeah, such a loaded question.

Depends on the source, depends on your creative/copy (if you are permitted to provide it), depends on their copy/creative (if they don't permit you to provide your own), depends on the offer itself.

So many factors make it difficult to answer your question.

It depends upon the source you're buying from. Before spending any money research a bit about it
...what are the reviews of the company
...after sales service (customer support), etc.

One suggestion I can give is search the keywords of your niche on Google or something, check the sites which are on the first page, try to contact their webmasters and ask if you can advertise there. That will be more targetted.

    Wish you luck!

Personally I mix different traffic methods (my favorite one is super-targeted subdomains for search engines)

Look for quality traffic providers if you look for better conversion rates. Of course, try to find targeted traffic it's not all about the numbers you know.

    0%

At best they will be pop-unders. More likely straight bots.

If you buy traffic, your site page rank & Alexa rank & page hit will be increased. But this is not a legal way. On the other hand it is easy to increase the traffic, but it is not easy to increase sale.

Almost 100% of sources that guarantee mass traffic/hits are botted or such low quality that unless you are promoting something that will only appear to people in debt and who have no credit cards conversions are zero for most of them. ZERO.

I'd advise going with solo ads where you pay only for actual clicks, and if clicks to conversion is low never buy from same person/place.

Or Facebook Ads which always work for me.

25,000 visits for how much? If it's too cheap, don't expect that it would even convert.

Are these clicks to your site? If it is and you don't have a decent landing page, it won't convert either.

What's the source of traffic? If it's junk, no conversion there too.

This is a case of too many factors and so little info.

Yeah it is one thing to get a great deal with the right person but you really have to make sure your page converts....you have to make sure you can turn visitors into sales when they land on your website. So you need to have the conversion strategy going. Then you need to do your homework in finding the right provider for your traffic. Remember paying for alot of traffic is no good if your website does not convert visitors into customers that is -sales. I recently found a great guy to send some traffic for me to a sales funnel and he was so good at working with me. I found him on facebook in solo-ad testimonials. A place where people leave testimonials about vendors and their success rate. It is a little time consuming but that will save you money long term if you do your homework and if the webpage converts will make you money.

Shouldn't you be asking that to the one you bought traffic in the first place? Most of these traffic providers like Webtrafficgeeks.com , UltimateWebTraffic.com or VisitorBoost.com gives you support in regards to those kind of questions. Not unless, its your first time buying these kind of traffic.

To be honest buying traffic like that will get you nowhere and will only empty you pockets, if you want to buy traffic I would advise buying solo ads, in my opinion is the best way to spend your money, and each click (lead) will cost you from .30c to $1 on average. This traffic is really great since is from people that have already opted-in a list and are know to be active users.

There are a few websites where you can buy solo ads, I've found these two to be the best:
    clickonomy.com
    udimi.com

Before you buy your ad make sure to contact the seller and ask questions like how responsive is their list, what is their open rate, how often they promote solos to their list, and anything else you want and need.. those are a few examples of questions I recommend you ask.

And make sure you come up with a Killer Ad.

Hope this information is of help!

    To your success,

Thanks all. I have never purchased traffic before, which is why I am asking around. Seem like there are mixed opinions. Some spend massive and say it's converting, when other say it is a total waste. I guess I'll have to test it my self and see..,that is without emptying my pockets

I bought a video from Reed Floren ..... How to build your email list. This only cost a few bucks. It talks about buying traffic and what to be aware of. It is an informative video especially if you do not know what you are doing and gives you information on who to buy from and what to avoid .

The video goes into a lot of detail and is well worth a look, especially since you are new to this method of marketing. It will at least point you in the right direction and give you a better understanding of buying a buyers list

I hope this has been of help

Hard to say. But no matter where you advertise, always try to tilt the scale in your favor.

See if you can STILL make money even if all the odds are against. Imagine if anything was to go wrong with your advertising... if you can still find a way to make money from this "bad math", then you should pursue it wholeheartedly.

But an average conversion rate from a "said to be targeted" traffic source... i wouldn't stake my money on it.
