Questions about cell phone/ISP service
Hi all,
As I've mentioned, I just bought a new laptop this past week and got a wireless router so I have wireless Internet in my home.
I just had a date tonight with a guy who also has a laptop and has been working off of the neighbor's wireless Internet service. He mentioned that he was trying to get his laptop to work off of the Internet connection through his iPhone.
Can you do that?
I'm not techie at all and have no idea what can and can't be done. I've always maintained a landline both for a DSL connection for my destop and for security purposes. (If I ever had an emergency, I can call 911 from my home and they can trace the call and immediately know where I live. And yes, I know they can trace your location from your cell phone too.

I'm just curious. Trying to see how I can consolidate my phones/ISP services and possibly lower my bills. I don't have an iPhone, but might consider getting one...
