Selling Information in Stock Trading/Investment Niche

Hi Guys,
I would be interested in your idea on the following situation:

I worked in Mining (gold) for several years and I have a geology background.
And I am trading for years now - as a private individual.
I focus on mining stocks and due to my work and education I have tons of knowledge about that market. Knowledge that is quite hard to find elsewhere.
E.g. what does it mean if company X got a drilling license in Alberta, and finds a layer with high carbonite. Or how likely is it that company X gets a drilling license in Northern Australia.
So basically all of this info that can help investors get an edge is right there, or at least I know where to look for it.

My problem is, I do not know exactly how to best monetize this knowledge online. If I do amazon book research on this topic, I get really low ranks, indicating low sales for books.
On the other hand I think that stock trading and investing is a high paying niche.

Technically I am equipped to get anything editted or programmed: videos, high quality books with infographs, joomla websites, interactive apps with shiny.
So basically I can pack my information in nearly any form possible on the web.

Any ideas on how to best monetize this knowledge?
Do you think it is worth putting the effort in it (niche size)?

I'm in the music production niche and when I go to amazon, clickbank and jvzoo there's only a few affiliate programs and books. But it's something that I'm passionate about and have a lot of knowledge about it so I decided to give it a try in 2009 and guess what, it is lucrative and making me a stable income.

It's not going to be easy but do some keyword research, start a blog, open a youtube account and leverage social media. Don't give up, keep the content coming and add new people to your social accounts on a daily basis and you should be fine.

If there's not a lot of products in the marketplace that doesn't mean the niche is not profitable, it means you have an open market that you can leverage, that's how I see it.

    Hi Tom,
if you have been trading successfully and you have some figures or graphs etc. I am sure with your background you could produce a book that would be very popular with investors.

You could even approach some of the investing magazines etc. who may promote your book for you.

I think you could be on to a winner.

    Best Regards

Because of competition and low niche info on the topic... this could be something you can harness offline and sell for hundreds of dollars. I don't think i would sell a product/information like this for $20 ebook. $200 or $2,000 YES. I'm not doing any online research for you, but i'm confident that there is an open market for this exclusive info that can make you a ton of money... fast.

There's no such thing as making money fast. It takes years to learn to trade. That's the reality that the so called guru's don't want people to know, and that uninformed get rich quick seekers don't realize. I've traded for a living since 2002 and this I can guarantee is the truth.

Yes do man ...you sound like you have the knowledge in the market . Why not do an ebook and give it way for free on amazon as long as they leave a review . Once you have a few hundred start selling it or want ever the numbers are to reach first page of amazon. I am sure it would have climbed the ranks so more investors/buyers can see it and then they will purchase. Also collect there emails so you can keep them informed even maybe a private facebook group only for your customers and charge a small fee and grow your list the skys the limit You could put a link in the ebook inviting them to your face book group where they pick up your trades. saying example $20 a month or what ever . Good Luck keep it simple

    Tom,
Or you could even sell it as a course, this may be the most profitable route as you could have
several lessons and charge a nice large sum

    Hope you do well.

I am learning to trade emini futures and I can confirm after 1.5 years that learning is a long term process.

OP, why not just make money from mining stocks and forget IM?

Sounds like you have a great level of knowledge that many people would be interested in learning about. You could easily create a paid newsletter or a course that teaches people how to find gold miners.

I think it is a great skill to have, if you are interested in doing a guest post on my blog I'd love to hear from you.

Hi JB, thanks for the offer. I might come back to you on that one if I am totally ready to launch the product. So far I decided to give it a shot and produce a video tutorial on this subject. I am excited to see how it goes.
