Hi all,

I recently signed up with Elance and wondering what kind of skills I could use without any knowledge with technical computer related skills such as programing, website building and such.

The only thing I know writing and I'm not really good at it. I would like to know what skill expertise I should put if I want to start out as a noobie on the site. What is the starting rate I should offer. I was thinking about putting up for $6.

You can do data entry? I think you need to gain skill first. Without a product/service how can you sell?

If you're new to Elance, I suggest you take all the tests you can find available. English skills, grammar skills, typing skills, do as many tests as you can (from those that don't involve technical stuff you know nothing about) and try to score as high as you can. It's a great start to show potential customers you at least have writing and some other skills you can use.

As you mentioned, you can do small writing jobs. Practice makes perfect, you'll get better at it as the time goes by. For now, all you can do is take as much test as you can.
