What would you do starting now with $1500 to build a small profitable business?

I'm not a newbie or anything Although, I'm about to sell a site for around $1500 and I'm looking to take up something new.

Iv been working with niche sites for a few years now, had success and currently still having success but I want to branch out and try something new which "works".

I do have a large tech blog which I'm going to keep working on part time but Id like to get into something new on the side to make an extra bit of ££££.

So, what would you do starting now with $1500 to build a small profitable business?

If it were me, I'd put some money into acquiring a site/domain and some nice site domain. Maybe enlist others to initially help with content too?

I would explore affiliate marketing, CPA Lead marketing, or product creation and use Facebook ads to sell the products and generate leads. If you haven't used Facebook ads, there's a little bit of a learning curve, so I would prepare myself by investing a small portion of that money on a couple of good Facebook ads courses to get started.

Dark Post Profits is a good one to start with.

I wouldn't try to do it all myself. I would outsource as much as possible, save some money for advertising and try to create a small quality list. I think when you try to do everything yourself is when you get overwhelmed and caught in the next tiny object syndrome.

You have proven to yourself that you can build a Site and sell it for a decent amount. So reinvest the profits, scale up, and rinse and repeat

You said you always wanted to make your own product, that's what you need.

Make your own product, you can Jv with someone if you're not comfortable and is new for you. You've to create a product and your partner will take care on the launch and all marketing stuffs.

List it on warriorplus and Jvzoo and offer 100% comm on front end sales, so as to attract affiliates. also integrate your autoresponder to it. You'll build a buyer list.

Promote them and you can make 1$-2$ per Subscrber per month.

This is what i would do, do what best for you.

    Hello larryboy03;

With practical experience and success in building and flipping websites and tech blogging you should apply that to training and helping others develop success skills in those areas.

You could do a JV with an established IM person with a successful marketing system developing training products.

Another possibility would be to actually invest in IM training yourself that can be applied to any niche, and use that training to develop products and online marketing systems in a niche in which you may have an interest.

First of all, I will get a squeeze page done either through Leadpages or Optimize Press.

Yes those costs $ but they really produce high quality squeeze pages.

I will also invested $ in domain, web hosting, Facebook and solo ads as well as my time in forums like this for maximum traffic.

Most importantly, the product I will be promoting needs to be a high converting offer with strong backend funnel and recurring billing fees.

Even if I do make $, I won't cash out immediately like most people do.

I will reinvest into more traffic to get more sales.

Wow...since you're experienced why not have your own product and brand yourself at the same time.

I think the best possible use could be investing in paid advertising, building your email list and marketing affiliate products.

Thanks for everyone's in put. Yeah, Iv been wanting to make my own product for a while, in fact, I would love to make a product which does video series showing people how to build a small successful website.

I would go through each stage showing them what they need to do and how they should be doing it.

For an example: On page SEO techniques would be a lengthy video. I would have around 30+ videos I would imagine.

Would people buy this kind of content/video series?

I even thought of building a website from scratch and videoing the entire process from building the site to ranking it and making money but I would hate to see spammers try to damage the site etc.

Showing my money sites is something I can't do, as they are my assets.

Also, I don't want to build anymore sites as it means more to look after and that's why I'm keeping my technology site to develop it and hopefully turn it into a very large authority site in years to come.

    What do you think?

I honestly don't know if you can build a business online and not rely on Google, Bing or Yahoo. Any website you invest your money in will eventually depend on traffic from the big search engines (not just them, but they'll be a good source of traffic too).

You can go down the paid traffic route, build a list, set up a funnel etc but that kind of thing just doesn't interest me, boring too, in less I'm building a list through my websites.

Create a product and a report to go with it and build a list by investing in solo ads.

  • My 2 cents...

What are you passionate about in life? Just in general, what is your true passion?

If you take this passion and become an expert at it, you can then offer to help others become better at it for free then sell them a premium rate service or product at a price. I've posted a few blog posts on this subject (and THERE ARE NO SALES OR OPT-IN LINKS IN THE BLOG) and how to exploit inbound or attraction marketing. Feel free to have a read and tell me what you think!
