Simply put, affiliate marketing is when you sell someone else's product for a commission.

You generally have to drive traffic to a sales pager provided by the product owner using a special link with your id (your affiliate link). When a sale is made through your affiliate link the commission is credited to you.

If you want to sell software as a "web expert" you can check affiliate market websites such as JV Zoo and maybe Clickbank.

Blogging is generally used as a free traffic generating strategy. There are different methods to use your blog to generate targeted traffic.

You can also use your blog as a publisher where you get paid to carry ads there.

Affiliate marketing is simply reffering people to a product or service, via your own special link.

Basically affiliate marketing is piggy backing with someone who will share a profit for your work of generating sales. People(Affiliate Marketers) who receive commissions on sales. Affiliates get a share or percentage whilst Internet Marketers work for themselves. You could also be an internet marketer that creates an affiliate programme , so then you would be sharing commissions as well.Affiliate marketing can be likened to endorsements. Affiliate marketing is a way of making money online whereby you as a publisher are rewarded for helping a business by promoting someone else product, service or site.

There are a number of forms of these types of promotions, but generally they involve you as a publisher earning a commission when someone follows a link on your blog/website to another site where they then buy something.

Affiliate marketing:
Get paid for connecting a buyer and a seller.

With digital products (ebooks, themes, tools, subscriptions) the comissions can be as high as 70% of the product price.
With physical products the comissions are usually lower (~20% - 30%)

I see you're a service provider -- no wonder you want to learn to generate something residual. :-) Anywho, affiliate marketing is the idea of promoting someone else's product in exchange for a commission on every sale made. You can kind of think of it like any other commission-based job. There are a couple of reasons why vendors like us affiliates:

1. We save them time and money by promoting their product for them. This is especially true for the affiliates that promote a vendor's stuff via paid advertising.

2. Whenever we affiliates make a sale for the vendor, the customer gets put on the vendor's list, so they are able to promote products down the line to them over and over, again. Statistically, once a person buys a product from a vendor, they are considerably more likely to purchase products down the line. This is one of the reasons you will hear the saying, "The money's in the list."

I should also mention that affiliate marketing is perhaps the most common way to make money online. It's grown by such popularity that practically every "big box" retail chain (i.e. Walmart, Target, Amazon...etc) have affiliate programs. The most common way to make money online via affiliate marketing is via a niche blog (a blog that has product reviews and articles around a particular theme like dating, weight loss, make money, toys, electronics, gardening, learn Spanish...list goes on).

We, as niche bloggers, really appreciate this model because it allows us to generate residual income (since we get ranked for keywords related to the products people are searching for in the search engines). Having a blog also allows you to work around your own schedule (something I'm sure you'll like), and generate several streams of income from the same blog (by building an e-mail list in the same way a vendor would) and so on.

Affiliate marketing it is a simple method where you sell others product or services and earn a commision for it. and the best place for that is Click bank, The most famous affiliate marketing network in the industry.

If you have no experience in product creation, affiliate marketing is another choice in I.M.

It simply means that you promote other people's product through an affiliate link and when a purchase is made, you earn a commission.

Many marketers are doing it wrong by sending all their traffic to the vendors.

What you should do first is to build a list and develop good relationship with them. Promotion of affiliate offers should come later.
