Denny's New Slogan - eeewwwwww!

Denny's Restaurant new slogan is awful!

"Eat Like A Rock Star Pay Like A Rodent"

Yep, they actually use the word rodent in their slogan for the diner.

I actually had to ask my wife "Did they say eat like a rodent?" because I just could not believe that they would do that.

But they did.

How gross is that?

and

How much do you think they paid some Madison Ave Advertising company for that slogan?

Matt

I believe the word they've used is "roadie" and not "rodent". "Rodent" doesn't make any sense, while "roadie" (as a contrast to the former "rock star") makes tremendous sense.

They shouldnt associate rodents with food. Makes me think of the rodent droppings in the kitchen.

Roadie does make more sense. Maybe that's what it says. I'm going to have to listen harder next time the commercial plays.

I searched google and found some other posts saying "rodent" as well.

Either way if people are not hearing the commercial correctly and are hearing "rodent" it's a total turn off.

My wife is getting tired of hearing me say, "and the sad part is someone making a lot of money paid someone else a lot of money for that thing..." after many of the ads.

I think Keven wrote that for them. They meant to say Eat like a rockstar pay like a hamster.

OK, A quick Google search indicates it started out in the real commericial "rodie" but someone posted ....rodent on Twitter and the rest is history. If it's on Twitter it must be true.

George Wright P.S. Now its official and confirmed "rodent" because its on the Warrior forum. Rodent it is.

    Cool banner George!

Maybe you can get Denny's to license it from you?
