Demistify Clickbank - How does it really work.

Hi,
I want to join clickbank, I wanted to make a website promoting one affiliate.

from Clickbank I found this info
converts 5-7%
$/sale: $19.69 | Future $: - | Total $/sale: $19.69 | %/sale: 52.0.0% | %refd: 90.0% | grav: 12.95

What does this all mean if the product costs almost $40?
what does converts 5-7% mean, out of some many people its suppose to sell good? Is there any other way to see how much the affiliate is going to pay out? How does this really work, this is my first time joining any affiliates so if any one could give me some pointers that would be great!

    Hey John. $/sale: $19.69 means that the average sale is $19.69. %/sale 52% means the affiliate is offering 52% commission. %/refd 90% means 90% of this sites sales come from other affiliates. grav: 12.95 means that 12.95 affiliates have successfully made a sale from promoting this site, i'm not sure how its based, its an average per week i believe.

    5-7% conversion rate means that 5-7 people out of 100 buy this product. Of course in that niche.

    You would receive a bit more than $20 per sale minus the ClickBank fees.

    John, the Clickbank Marketplace doesn't list conversion rate. That was probably added by the Vendor as part of the description so keep in mind that may or may not be accurate.
