What does an offer mean by "no search traffic"?

I know this is probably a simple question, but I can't figure out how to interpret it.

What is search traffic?

I'm assuming they mean organic search.

If that's the case, does that mean I can't put their banner on a page that gets organic search traffic? If that's the case, why do they give me banners and link codes? How do they expect me to get traffic to send through the banners if not organic?

Do they mean no paid search traffic because they don't want me bidding on their search terms?

Other than organic and paid, what kind of search traffic is there?

WHAT THE HELL DO THEY MEAN?!?1?!

Thanks

They mean that they want you to provide them will all the free links you can - because that way they can cheat you and not pay you any commissions because any links you put out will be links that are organic or paid search and they don't pay for that.

Never put out links for a merchant like that. There are plenty more merchants that will not screw you.

No Search traffic means no paid PPC search traffic.

Many advertisers who use PPC themselves do not
want affiliates competing with them on paid search.

Some advertisers will allow some search, but will
have restrictions on what keywords you can bid on.
