How to send a link via an autoresponder for audio?

I want to send out an autoresponder that has a link to a free audio file, how do I do this so my visitors can download it? It doesn't need to stream on my site, it can be available to download but I am not web savvy and have no idea how to do this.

Put the audio file into a zip file (Use Winrar, Winzip etc), then upload it to a free service like Mediafire or Rapidshare (so as not to waste your own bandwidth), then just link to that file.
