best way to find long tail keyword phrases?

What is the best way to find long tail keyword phrases? I would like to write articles for keywords with under 1k views/ month, but I don't know how to find these. Any help?

do some keywork research on google keywords tool, check out forums and yahoo answers and see what people are asking about in regards to your niche. Also check out the thread here on finding profitable keywords by john orana

Keyword Questions – Keyword Research Tool

This tool is a good way to find a few longtail keywords fast.

Also there is a free tool called keyword sniper. I will try and find the download link for you.

If you already have a web site, just view your logs. You'd be surprised what you can find there. Then go to a keyword research tool like Profitgenie suggests and see how many searches each gets.

One of benefits of doing this is that you can find Keywords with *over* 1K monthly searches that folks are using to land on your site. At times some of these keywords will have virtually no competition on Adwords and other PPC engines. And that's something you can exploit.

Do you mean long tail keywords with under 1K competition with the keyword in quotes when doing your research?

That's what you want to look for. The more views the better.

not competing sites, I need actual views/ month. I'm narrowing down keyword phrases for articles to write, but just need a tool to find out these keywords.
