Ebooks and Refunds, Difference with Marketing

Most if not all ebooks through clickbank come with a refund guarantee

Yet when i go to any TOP ebook place where you can buy ebooks, or audio books there are no refunds, whats the deal with that

I mean lets face it.. once a person has your book, they can and do send in refund requests and now they have your book even though they give the same b.s " I deleted it from my computer " Yeah right!!! we all believe you NOT!

So where is the line drawn.. Like in some cases im pleased a refund policy is in place as some stuff is just crap but, i dont remember being able to walk into chapters, read a book and then take it back for a refund LOL

seems like the marketing world has got its own rules

    I believe Clickbank requires that guarantee period. You won't sell many without giving a guarantee. I watched what happened to a retail business I owned, when some 16 years ago I began offereing a no questions asked money back guarantee. It added 8 to 10 thousand dollars a month in additional sales... overnight, with only a handful of people requesting money back over the years.

      Somehow, it is just the way online community perceive as safe shopping. "If you do not like what you are getting, ask for refund." I do agree that this leaves much room for abuse as some shoppers (especially those not from US) are in the habbit of doing.

      Having said that, it is just like what Don mention, this strategy contributes to more sales as a result. So at the end of the day when you start counting, it is still gain.

    I wondered the same thing myself. I mean why wouldn't people just refund after buying. I mean everyone loves free stuff. I guess if your product is good, most people are happy with it and don't really bother trying to rip you off. Ofcourse there are the people that always buy and refund just to get the product free and take advantage of the offer. But from what I understand from IM friends, very few handful people ask for refunds during product launches. I hope it stays that way, otherwise we wouldn't be making much money for all the work put in.
