Kickfurther: crowdfunded investing in small businesses, plus $5 signup bonus

Hi all, longtime lurker here. I wanted to spread the word about Kickfurther. It's an interesting new site that is doing crowdfunded investments to help new companies get started. It lets individuals (you don't have to be accredited) invest in small businesses by helping them purchase inventory. These small companies usually take out a loan in order to help pay for new purchase orders, but the terms can be quite onerous. So on Kickfurther they can raise funds from us instead! In return for our help we get interest. The interest rates are 6-10% for 4-6 months, so if you reinvest that's 20-30% per year! Pretty good I think.

They are also offering a $5 signup promotion.

I tried it for the first time last month, investing in a small organic bodycare company, and made 10% in 30 days (they paid back early). After that worked out I started a few new offers. They are trying to situate themselves as the "next step" after a small business starts on Kickstarter. I think it's a really cool innovation in crowdfunding.

Please spread the word on your sites! More users will benefit everybody (will attract more businesses and better offers).

NOTE: This is quite legit. You are actually helping startups purchase inventory. Check out who they've already funded. Clothing companies (some have come back for repeated offers), technology companies, etc etc.

Interesting concept. Bernie Madoff said it wasn't a scam either...... BUT it's a great concept and crowd funding is a hugely under tapped resource

Lol, yeah, I realize that the phrase "not a scam" might be counterproductive. I just want to distinguish it from all the bizarre programs I've found out there, pyramid schemes, etc. But yeah, good point, there is a LOT of untapped capital out there!
