Hi there, I have someone a company to write articles. Would you say that US Free Ads, Craigs List and 3 Step Ads are good sources of traffic? If I include these in my campaign I would need to outsource and wonder if the costs would be worthwhile in terms of the returns you might get from these ads. What do you think? Any comments would be appreciated. |

I had bad experience with USfreeads.com. I don't suggest using it. Quote:

Craigslist gets a huge amount of traffic... and you will too if you outsource the posting. The one thing you want to consider is that it is a practice that is a bit looked down upon. Spamming a site to get traffic that isn't meant to be spammed might take a dent out of your reputation if you are using your real name. |

Hey Moneyland, it depends on your costs. From my understanding US Free Ads works best for very low competition keyword phrases. I can write ads for them in just a few minutes. So hope your costs are pretty low for that.

Thanks for the replies....So is say putting an ad on craigs list say 5 times a week considered spamming? I am new to this and obviously hear this word every day but not sure exactly what it is considered? How long would you say it takes to put up a Craigs List and a Us Free ad? I think from what I see that Craigs lists are just very small and US Free ads seem alot more like a sales page at times. Are the links just like normal HTML links? Thanks for any more info about this is you have any. Cheers |

Well i subscribes to their premium , you can easily put your ads to usfreeads, i suggest that you upgrade to premium so you can get more features for your ads. But i don't know about their conversion ratio to the products i advertise, anyone can suggest the best metode to advertise with them ?

Also another thing with craigslist traffic - if your promoting affiliate offers - many have CL as a banned traffic source - so if your caught you dont get paid..

It depends how good your talents are!!! If someone else can come up with better ad text than you or if it takes you too long to set it all up then get someone else to do it for you. You have to think how long it would take you and what else you could be doing in the same amount of time. kind regards sam X |

Hey Moneyland, i would by no means outsource the ad writing unless im hiring a copywriter. Its the marketer's job to test and track their campaigns, and leaving it to anyone else besides a professional copywriter wouldnt be a strategic move for your business. However, i would certainly outsource the ad posting as this is something that a data entry individual can handle. Will it be worth your time is something you need to figure out. Calculating your rate of return is very easy, but most marketers get discourage when their roi is less then their cost of advertising. They need to realize that if they cut the costs of advertising, then they are cutting the bloodline of their business. You have to constantly test every single variable so that you will pull the most amount of money for every advertising dollar that leaves your pocket. Doug |

I thinks Craigslist is the only traffic source worth focusing on. I've tried USAFreeads before, and the results were very disappointing.

You guys are so wicked and I really value your comments. Doug I was just thinking about the exact point as you laid out so you have helped me how to go about this. I am wondering why many merchants have CL as a banned traffic source?? I have my own product so this shouldn't matter hopefully. One last question about Craigs List...My products is in Men Natural Health niche and I cannot see anywhere where this looks to be placed and not health section except under jobs - Any CL experts please let me know what category I could go in - the only one I can see is Small Biz Ads and these are manly about making money so I am abit stuck now... Thanks in advance if you can help |
