It can be a problem because sometimes if you list it for sale publicly it gets delisted from Google News. Wherever you sell it make sure you pay extra to have a private listing.

There are previous threads like this one: Selling a GN's site

Pay attention to all the posts by Suzanne (sbucciarel) ... she used to specialize in Google News sites and has lots of experience with them.

Thats no problem, i am gonna sell it in a private and no indexed forum, but my question is, if the site is just changed from webmaster tools, account could be unlisted?

I personally wouldn't change the info in Webmaster's Tools. Google does or at least has in the past, delisted news sites after sale.

It started when people made a bunch of spam GNews sites that all got accepted. They created them for the sole purpose of selling them and making a great profit. Google caught on to both the spam and the creating news sites for profit bit and started delisting them when they saw them up for sale.

Changing the ownership in Webmaster Tools would mean that Google then has to search for the news sitemap in someone elese's account, so they would know that a transfer had occurred.

I'm pretty sure that if you had a long established news site like say Huffington Post, that you could sell it without repercussions, but if you're a small, unknown news site, it isn't worth the risk.

That's what i thought, i sold the site including the google account, so everything will be in the same account.

Can you tell me what is the actual cost of a site in G News?

          Thanks

On Flippa, I've seen them go for between $8-12K. News sites that have a bigger income, I've seen go for a lot more. Saw one go for $24K. If you're talking about a famous site, that's a different story.
