First Sale

I'm not sure if this is where I post this, but I will anyway. So I think it was the week after July 4th, that I started reading about affiliate marketing one night and read about it on this site for a while and joined up.

I launched a campaign that I thought would work about two weeks ago, and I don't know if it really has "worked", I may have just gotten lucky, but I have a sale for $17.00 after as of last week apparently.

The thing is, I'm pretty disorganized right now, so the sale has encouraged me to get more organized,more efficient, and to put out more content to hopefully see an increase in sales.

I'd like to thank austind72 for replying to my first thread on here and giving me some good tips when I started out.

I haven't put much time into my campaign, but I hope to organize and improve the rough draft I have out on the internet now to see more positive progress.

    This is definitely where you post this! Great job!

    I think you totally rock and should celebrate. Go do something for yourself that you've always wanted to do. Even if it costs money.

    Here's why...you want to associate positive things in your mind. This sounds all new age and crazy but it works. Any time you do something/accomplish a major goal you should go out for a beer with friends and party it up (don't DUI but yea...).

    Whatever it takes to anchor those positive feelings to that accomplishment. Trust me, it'll help you push through the hard times.

    Oh...and photocopy your first check from Clickbank or whoever and frame it. Be proud of that check no matter how small because you've done something that many wish they could (they could but don't) and many will fail (read...quit) trying to do.

    The saying goes that having the first sale is the hardest.

    Now that you have passed the hardest part. All good thing will come your way as you will be flooded with many good sales down the road.

    Remember to focus and understand how you did it for the first sale and replicate it. DO NOT re-invent the wheel !!! Many times I have seen people losing sales as they tried to change it. If it is working well, don't change it. You can do split test and letting the original one running while testing by tweeting it. The original one is the source where you get the sales.
