  • YES IT IS VERY PROFITABLE.

It's one of the evergreen niches like weight loss and dating and relationships.

There will always be people looking to make money from home or more money, and wanting to lose weight and find love and happiness in relationships.

It's an opportunity for you to help them while making a profit recommending products to them as an affiliate

It depends. There a lot of sub-niches in make money niche and some are overcrowded with freebie seekers and just end up mostly being a huge waste of time and resources. Its far easier to hit something less crowded if you are new.

"making money online" isn't a niche per se, it's more of a market or industry.

You can definitely make it work, just have in mind that there's a huge competition in this industry so if you don't want to narrow down to let's say "making money with clickbank", you're going to need a special angle.

What I'm saying is that you're site needs to be different than all the other generic make money online blogs. Do things differently so that people may remember you.

Use your imagination. I am myself situated in this industry but I have a unique angle that isn't being done by a lot of people and I'm doing real research on relevant subjects, which isn't being done by a lot of people either.

But to answer your question, YES is profitable, but also very DIFFICULT to succeed in.

    All the best,

    Karl

P.S: Is this a passion of yours? If not, then find something else. You'll quickly burn out id you don't enjoy what you do.

    Hi SI,

YES, and NO....I sense much doubt in you Young Padawan lol.

Having fun with ya, but really, your mindset makes it so. Your faith dictates your ability to either create good content and connect with pros, so you can make money online, or your lack of faith blocks money.

This niches are A OK but instead of thinking channels, think about a niche you feel passionate about. Focus on that area. Build a blog, a business website and some products that will show off your passion, and your authority, then you'll naturally rake it in.

I would cut your teeth in Markets a little less competitive.

Plus, I think it is essential that you are an Authority in a Niche. If you just start out with MMO Niche and haven't been involved in ANY form of IM at all, it takes away your credibility when you try to teach IM methods to people just related on Theory and not Experience

Agreed - the MMO market is a high-level niche, need to sub-niche it down into specific categories if you are going to go after it.

Very profitable, but also very focused on results, you'll need to be active, try things and show results to get ahead in this niche.

One approach is to start your online business in another niche and, over time, what you learn from that experience can be applied back into targeting those who want usable, practical information on doing the same - make sense?

It's a market where you can make a lot of money but you have to learn your strings and skills. one thing should be clear to you it will need time and you have to stick to it. Plenty of marketers start in the MMO Industry and after they see what it really takes to be successful there they quit.

The best thing you can do is:

    - Learn (learn the skills or methods)
    - Do (implement what you have learnt right away)
    - Teach (after you implemented the things you learned you know what is working and what not, now you can start to teach exactly that)

It can be very profitable, though I would recommend narrowing down your focus. Choose a type of online money making that you want to specialize in. Whether that is email marketing, seo, blogging, or something else altogether, pick something that you know or that you want to learn and make yourself an expert in that particular field.Being more specific makes you more capable of targeting certain people and it also makes you more valuable to those people.

The make money niche is by far a very profitable
    and large.

However, there are also other niches such as:

    - Productivity
    - Weight loss
    - Culinary

    And other great niches.

The important part is to FOCUS in on one
niche, get good at it, then profit from it.

If you want a generalized answer to your generalized question. Yes.

But to be more specific ...
If you're new there's far easier, quicker and less stressful ways than jumping into the shark invested waters of the Make Money Online market (It's not a niche).

Think about it.You're jumping into icy cold waters ...
      • Filled with Gurus with million dollar ad budgets!
      • Tons of me-too product speculators - clogging the market!
      • Not to mention a growing market of extremely skeptical and weary consumers burnt out on the mere term - much less the ads!
And if you can survive all that, you have to overcome a growing corps of Ad monitors skeptical of anything that smells like a "money making opportunity. They're growing at Google, Facebook and every other major advertising hub. Why? Because the F.T.C is watching them watch you.

It seems easy and convenient because of the low barrier to entry and everyone wants to make money, right? But I'd dig a little deeper, work a little harder and be a little more patient and find another niche that's not so daunting. There's ton's of more fish in the sea. Trust me.

Instead of listening to that someone -- I think it's best if you do your own market research, data analysis, comparative studies and verification processes; and

Once you have something that you're confident'd be profitable for you -- I suggest doing your own tests, until you get something that really works for you ...

No, I don't think asking about the viability of the MMO space or any field in an MMO (make money online) forum full of beginner marketers, intermediate marketers and seasoned marketers (all possible competitors), MMO product sellers and affiliates, MMO coaches and service providers is a beneficial part of market research in this case ...

I think what's beneficial for you to ask here and in other MMO forums are specific techniques and tactics for strategically positioning your brand across your target markets, cost-effectively widening your market reach and generating targeted traffic, drastically increasing conversions and successfully getting more sales and repeat business oppurtunities ...

well since this entire site is based around that premise... I would have to say it is an astounding yes that the niche is profitable.

Is adsense the best monetization strategy... I seriously doubt it.

Think about it... Adsense trains you to build your business around working your butt off to drive traffic (usually the hardest part in any marketing), only to hope that the SECOND your work pays off and you get someone to your site... you are hoping/begging that they immediately LEAVE your site and click the ad to find the information they were REALLY looking for in the first place.

All the while the person who pays you a nickel for the click has a funnel, with followups, a product, an upsell, an email list... and turns each nickel into $50.

Much easier to be on the other side of that equation... my opinion

Yes of course the 'making money online' niche is profitable - more so if you are actually already making money online yourself though.

If you can teach others how to make money online based on YOUR experience and in an honest and genuine way, then people will want to read what you have to say.

If you don't know what you're talking about (which is usually pretty easy to recognise), your visitors will click the 'back' button pretty quickly.

No, making money online is not a profitable niche.

Why? Because EVERYONE and their mother is doing it and building a website about how to make money online, and I betcha a lot of customers are BOMBARDED with ads on how to make money online.

If everyone is doing it, how do you think you are going to get enough traffic and sales to YOUR website???

PLUS you will be pretty low ranking in the Google search engine.

I don't meant to be rude but where exactly are you getting this information from?

As its been said millions of times here and everywhere on the internet...COMPETITION = MONEY! Simple.

Just because the market is overcrowded it does not mean that there isn't money to be made, especially with the fact that 99% of "marketers" in this market have no clue what they are doing which makes it fairly easy with a little bit of common sense to eliminate a lot of the competition.

Make Money Online is not a niche, its a huge market and we are not just speaking about WSO's, Product launches, CB products etc. This market covers a lot more than that so in my opinion YES I says it very profitable.

      Just my 2 cents.

Correct me if I'm wrong. - Low competition is good, but thousands of competitors is not. If you are indeed succeeding in "making money online" or other similar keyword phrase, please explain to me how you guys are ranking on page one in google, when you have a gazillion plus others trying to do the same thing?.

When I look at Google and type in "making money online" without quotes, I get like 440,000,000 results.

Type in "internet marketing" and you'll get 338,000,000 results.

Last time I checked - 3, 000, 000 results is within the supposed target range and means less competition.

That's how much competition you have no?, cause from what I see nearly everyone and their mother has a website about making money online - and a lot of them are doing onpage SEO and putting keywords in their titles and such...

It's going to be pretty hard ranking on page one on google if you got a bazillion other websites competing against yours,

Which means no traffic, and no sales.

You are absolutely correct with what you said but...

We are now in 2015 my friend, time to wake up and realise that Google is no longer the only traffic source out there no matter what MARKET you are in, especially the Make Money Online.

My self, my friends and my clients have never, ever, ever ranked a website on Google yet we are able to generate hundreds of customers combined on weekly bases in this particular niche.

So if you do want to go the SEO route which the OP never mentioned in the question, then of course it will be difficult but if you go with methods working RIGHT NOW then competition is actually a pretty good thing as there is less testing to do as you can see what the competition is doing, make a similar campaign (notice I never said copy) and there you go.

I don't think for a starter Making Money Online would be a good niche to start with because when you have not yourself started to make money online, how can you show others the road to make money online. I think you should start in some other niche that you have passion about, make some money, do some case studies, gather proof, then start a Make Money Online site. That would bring you more success.

Nope. Nobody wants to make money online...

However, just because it's profitable for some does not mean it will be profitable for others. I would very, very strongly advise staying out of this market because you've really got to know what you're talking about, and you've really got to know how to market your stuff.

It is one of the hardest markets to succeed in, and entering into it just because it's profitable or you're interested in making money online is one of the most common mistakes people make.

It can be profitable, but it's one of the most difficult and saturated niches and the people who are making lots of money are the people who have large budgets and are very experienced. It is very possible to do, but very difficult at the same time IMO.

  • Yeah it is, but you should make money elsewhere before you enter such a big market. I personally feel it takes allot more experience and skill to succeed in this field. I personally wouldn't rank for the broad terms but if you can find specific products with keyword value go for it but you should probably make money online first before you market or teach it.

It is very profitable. It's a competitive niche which is good because it means that there's activity. Making it happen however would take time and will be challenging especially if you're sticking with a broad term which is "Make Money Online". Content creation is the best way to attack this. Just keep blogging and shoot videos as well creating content around the keywords you've chosen. Use long tail keywords too and always be consistent on creating high quality content while building a list. Also, when creating content, focus on it being evergreen meaning content that stays relevant no matter how long it's been published.
