The term outdated practice is a red herring.

I could argue that anything's an outdated practice. Email marketing + swipe copy is an outdated practice. Affiliate marketing is an outdated practice. SEO is an outdated practice.

The real question is, does it sell, or add value to an offer in many instances?

    I would answer, "yes".

    No it is not!

Anything can "appear" as outdated when you do it in a wrong way.

I see people selling keyword lists all the time. Not all of them are legitimate but few do actually provide real value around.

I would not recommend though buying keyword lists and i don't think it is that profitable as a seller. It is much better to invest your time in branding your own website instead of selling lists.

I wish you all the best with your marketing plans.

    No.

It will never go out of fashion.

REAL online marketers always need keywords that are targeted to their niche and cross referenced with metrics.

    Metrics?

Search volume, social shares, and TREND DIRECTION.

If you supply these with your data and you are NICHE-focused, you'll always have a market.

Heck, even FIVERR kw sellers know this.
