Does anyone know if it's ok to track a website through more than one Google Analytic account?

So this is a bit complicated. I have a website with it's own gmail account and an analytics account associated with that gmail account. Then I realized that my adsense account, which is 10yrs old, was actually created with a non-gmail account(yahoo to be precise). So now I am unable to integrate the gmail analytics account with that yahoo-admin adsense account.

I was able to create a new analytics account with the original yahoo email, so now I'd like to integrate that account with the yahoo-admin adsense account so that I get some valuable stats on my adsense traffic. Will it be ok that my site is linked to two analytics accounts? I suppose I could always just remove the tracking ID for the gmail analytics account, no? Sorry if that was confusing.

    I have never tried to use more than one account myself, and I would recommend against it.

    Forgetting about whether or not Google is okay with it or not, Analytics relies on a script that runs on your site. That script would be loading twice which would slow down your webpage loading times. For that reason alone, I would avoid it.

      Would it be ok to just swap out the analytics account codes so that I run the one that's integrated with my adsense account? I just wanted to be able to track my adsense traffic. I don't need to run the non-adsense integrated analytics code anymore, but it is the one that was originally on the site, so wanted to make sure that there isn't a problem with swapping it out.

        Yeah, I cannot imagine there would be a problem with that.

        The downside of course is not having the historical data to look at on the same account if you want to.

        Other than that, I see no issue with it.

          You need to migrate your webmaster tools and analytics to the same account. That will make your life easier in the long run.

    Well, you can add admins to your GA account.

    I'm currently doing that for one of my websites, as I'm currently running AdWords on another gmail account.

    In GA:
    'Admin' -> 'Property' -> 'User Management' -> 'Add permissions for:'

    Don't ever add two different sets of GA tracking codes.
