How many of you do YouTube video reviews to drive traffic to your own sites? for those of you that do, do you hire someone to write the script? star in the video? or do any of you pay others to do these things for your site as well? And lastly, is it effective? |

Hello, I don't do video reviews yet but I have uploaded a bunch of professional videos to you tube to drive traffic. I know that the production value of the videos I have on my you tube account is about $2700 each but I got them cheap(not available anymore). I think from my own experience on you tube that most people are making screen capture videos where you can see them and hear them but that requires a video camera. Most people seem to do the work themselves(recording themselves and not an actor). You can just do screen capture reviews with slide shows and pictures from the website you are promoting then you don't need to hire any one which would probably be costly. Mike |

Youtube is a great way to drive traffic to any type of site/product. The key is to be natural. Don't be so scripted and you will be fine. Were you looking at reviewing products using youtube... creating a viral vid showing how to use the product? What were you thinking about doing with the vid to make people want to pass it along? |

my idea was to create, or have created for me because I've a great face for radio reviews of my business via video to drive traffic to my site. I'm not a big IM'r but I'm using IM to grow my offline business of Real Estate Investing. I was thinking about taking it a step further and use these videos in specific ways like: 30 second clip of describing 'short sales' and at the end of the video adding a call to action like, "visit www.adlkjaldskfj.com to download your free report on 'how to stop a foreclosure' this video was brought to you by aldkfjadlkj" again, it's not affiliate marketing but I feel the principles of IM can really work with Real Estate. Being an investor it's becoming so much more about improving your marketing skills than anything else b/c the competition is HUGE! So if you guys as IM'rs had successes using YouTube there really should be no reason why I couldn't duplicate that success in a different venue |

I use Youtube video reviews to drive traffic to my site. But, I don't just review products, I also do a short update on any new posts I may have created. It's a great way to get the word out. I usually do short videos with either my webcam if I am talking, or I use Jing if I am giving a demo of a website or product. I don't usually have a script and just talk as if I were showing the product or site to a friend. |
