Too Long to Be Succeed in IM?

To me, the art of doing business online is about patience and persistence and here is the truth :

Making money online needs investment of your time to study and your money to pay some paid services

Making Money Online will not happen in one night (but if you think about making $3/night, you may join fiverr. It is a reachable goal )

Making Money Online needs patience. In my path to reach my target, I find many failures that make me ALMOST quit but hey… winners never quit and quitters never win so, I choose to survive.

This post is truly inspired by Claire, contestant of Masterchef Australia Season 2 who ( after several weeks of competition), finally get complement from all judges and she just simply said : I am happy I have to wait. It makes everything sweeter.

Well, I will wait for my “Claire Time”. How about you?

That's right it takes time, and most of all because you need to learn a lot when you just get started. The first months, sometimes even years is like going to college, but when you graduate you'll have a very nice job.

I've been a full time Marketer for 10 years.. started out with zero and fell a few times but if you stick with it you will succeed.. you then just need to scale up the successes.

Failing and screwing up isn't bad..It's a short cut to learning valuable lessons. So embrace the lessons and learn from them....

My business partner failed 13 times with teespring shirts as soon as he "cracked the code" he was able to scale that part of his business up to over $100000 in 90 days..

I don't know a marketer who doesn't still screw up from time to time.. it just makes the successes sweeter!

Be honest ethical and proud of what you do and you'll succeed

When you get started online, it is OK to fail over and over and over and over again. If you learn from each lesson and persist, you will succeed.

Sometimes it is also a good idea to find a good mentor. While most "mentors" out there online are no good in my view, some of them are. My first bad "mentor" online got me nowhere in my first 5 years online. Then I met a good mentor of mine here in the forum and then a few months later, I was earning a good income online.

  • I thin a lot of people get into this business thinking that with they that they can invest and also by getting a mentor that they'll succeed.

There is a lot more to it than just that. You really need to put in the time, work everything out, and put yourself out there more.

There is more than enough big time marketers and successes who started out rocky at first.

It may take some people quicker or even longer to see results, but it can happen if you are willing to put in the time.

  • NEWBIES want to know how to make $100 per day, $2500 per month etc.

But the ground work and time investment done before the product launch that actually makes you the $2500 in one hour after the product launch, is often over looked by newbies.

Educate yourself about the IM business first before you spend money on webhosting, auto-responders and other related paid services.

Right. We need to understand that we NEED to study and not just take the shortcut that will makes us confused

I have been at this for YEARS. Just look at my WF join date

It takes time, patience, curiosity and a willingness to listen and learn in order to make money in this business.

But there is nothing I rather be doing for a living other then IM. So all the hard work is worth it.

This is a good thread for helping to manage expectations, I am seeing more and more people looking for the "fastest", "quickest" and "easiest" way to make money online. And it's really the wrong way to start, I'd anyone starts with those expectations they will likely disappear just as fast as they appeared

It's unfortunate that most headlines you see "0-1 Million in 4 months", "30k in 1 day" all sound good and FAST. They don't tell you though that they've been building their network/subscription list for years and they have 200k people to market to with one email ad.

Not to say that it can't be done, but a LOT of ground work is laid out first which for the most part take a lot of work and time.

Making money online in general involves a huge learning curve for many of us. We were there once.

Success won't come overnight or in one shot. It may take even 5, 10 years for some. The thing is that most people give up because they are not willing to step outside of their comfort zone to adapt.

Surround yourself with people in your field and avoid the naysayers who don't know anything about this industry. Stay focused and positive.

Also, don't play cheap with your marketing, if you are able to invest and invest wisely, invest in paid traffic and media buys. They give faster results if you do proper research on how to do these things the right way. Much success to you!

I want to saying of which, as a possible internet info marketer, what will you be marketing is useful information with a specialised theme. Consequently, when you already have this specialised information, you might be within the effective position. You possess additional information compared to you believe. “In quite a few situations, of which information is usually beneficial to be able to people that don’t have the item. An occasion you had giving an individual a bonus within this small business can be a sturdy desire to earn more income compared to you might be now making. That’s important, simply because there are tons of folks exactly who post online (blogs, content, guides, fiction) without having caring should they generate profits simply by doing it. The most crucial expertise for an Internet marketer usually are (1) promoting, (2) copywriting, in addition to (3) conversing (the ability to develop written content throughout writing).

Waiting for your "claire" time is really a good way to look at it.

Most of the people in here want to be rich yesterday

It just usually does not work that way.

Somehow I missed this Thread when it first came out.

      Simple assertion but very powerful.

Patience is a huge ingredient to be successful in this game

For me it wasn't so much that it takes a long time to succeed as it takes a long time to learn enough to know how to do everything correctly.

Starting out is like driving off in all random directions, but, once you know the map, you're able to suddenly take all the steps to get to a destination that, with all the potential wrong turns, would otherwise be virtually impossible to reach, and you do it in 1/1000th (or more) of the time.

It comes down to being a true master of whatever you do.

I agree 1000% with the OP. But you also have to be careful and not get settled in the "It's gonna take a long time to succeed" mindset. It could sometimes be a self-fulfilling prophecy in many cases.

For example, if you tell yourself it's supposed to take two, three, five years you can sometimes limit yourself and start taking less risks, stop looking for more efficient ways or avoid stepping out-side of your comfort zone.

There's even been many cases where success hit unsuspecting people in the face and they weren't ready for it and lost it.

So, whether it takes a l--ong time to achieve success or you experience fast success (it has happened) the main thing is learning how to be adjustable, adaptable and flexible whatever the circumstance.

I think thats what separates those who make it, and those who give it up. People aren't willing to put in the work. They're not willing to grind away until they finally start to see success.

I've tried getting so many friends into IM in the past, but they're all expecting overnight riches. When I tell them that to build a profitable, sustainable business you need to put in lots of hours, they all start dropping like flies.

Mine is a bit different as I made very good money very quickly on. In less than a year I was earning between $7000 and $18000 a month. The difficult thing for me since then (I began in 2007) is maintaining that income while:

    a) balancing out the other areas of my life (working alone, feeling personally satisfied etc)

    b) staying educated and motivated to keep pushing through obstacles (Adwords refusing affiliate links etc)

I think 99% of people working from home, or trying to work from home think about how they can make more and more money 99% of the time. But there are people out their who make decent money, who simply shift stress from one area to another.
