Are any pay per task sites worth the effort?

I'm wondering if sites like crowdflower, microworkers, shorttask, mircotask, clickworker etc are worth the time and effort? Mturk doesn't seem to pay much at all but what about the others? What are the highest paying of these and should I even bother if I am looking to make at least five dollars per hour or one dollar per task? Thanks.

      So it takes a full hour to do those surveys? Wow.


      Well I'm just looking into it right now. I saw online where someone posted they make about 15-20 dollars on clickworker. He could be a rep for the site though. I have no idea.

        Mturk and other sites can lead to a nice side income though. You may want to check out sites like Fiverr too. Fiverr doesn't have micro tasks, but the tasks are short term and can sometimes be completed pretty quickly.

    Five dollars per hour is not an onerous requirement... a few of those offers you have mentioned should get you there.

    It's like Ant said though, there are tactics to use.

    Fiverr is of course great, but is a crowded space in many respects for popular gigs. Do you have a skill relevant for Fiverr?

    NOOO. I think the only real profitable way to do this is if you market on paid per click sites and bring in referrals but the site has to support foreign countries and you have to make sure you don't break any TOS rules. It's generally a waste of time.

    I've looked at this micro task sites and always thought the return for the work you put in is NOT worth it. That's an opinion though and others may find the time and effort worth what's being offered.
