Help Choosing a Vertical

Hi guys I'm really new to network marketing, my boss is actually an expert and makes a living off of it and he's been teaching me quite a bit. He said before I get into an affiliate network I should really focus on one vertical starting out. Does anyone have any verticals they would recommend starting out with?

If your boss is teaching you, why aren't you asking him this question?

He's helping me yes, but he's not building my company either.
And for everyone else, thank you for the advice, I have a lot of knowledge in health and fitness, employment, and I'm asthmatic and have learned quite a bit about it. I'm thinking of choosing those three as my main niches for the time being. The next step I want to take is getting accepted into affiliate networks that offer those niches.

That's not a question we can answer because we don't know you. For example, I can tell you that 3D gaming is the hottest up and coming vertical around because educators are finally starting to get on board, and you're talking 4-5 figure commissions on some of the more elaborate platforms. What good is that advice though if you know nothing about eLearning and simulations?

So the best vertical for you would be the one thing in life you consider yourself an expert at...and try not to think BIG here. It could be skateboarding, making tacos, reading fantasy books or almost anything in the world....as long as you have a good base knowledge of it and interested in learning more. Once you figure out what that one tiny, specific thing is, then start building a site about it.

Others will say you need to find how to monetize it first but that's the easy part...the hard part is getting people to buy into your ideas and become regular subscribers. So just focus on catering to your very specific user-base at first, forget about the money aspect for a little while, and everything will work out just fine.

My advice in picking a "vertical" is to first stop using the word vertical. If you want to work in corporate marketing then that's fine, but if you want to work with helping people or curing a great need/desire then talk like regular people talk.. not in verticals and horizontals.

When it comes to picking a nice... go after what you are most passionate about... check on google to make sure that people are running ads for that niche. If no ads exist it's probably because it's not a money maker.

Always go for what you are passionate about and it's a money maker.... that's usually a good start.

by the way... "network marketing" usually refers to a certain kinda off business that is a spin off and/or associated with MLM. Not sure if that's what you are looking for. The WF is not that big on that type of network marketing from what I could gather.

Do you have a background or knowledge in any niche? If so I'd start by looking at that

I'm pretty sure that your boss knows exactly what vertical you should start with because as you have mentioned, he's an expert and he makes a living out of it.
