HELP: Anyone know of a video sharing site that...

Hey there warriors. I'm about to launch an ecourse (100+ page ebook with around 60 tutorial videos). The issue is my hosting provider's bandwidth is horrid w/ video (anyone else have this problem?). Streaming video from my hosting provider is like watching grass grow...

Anyone know of a professional video sharing site that does video streaming on the cheap? Every service that I see out there is $100/mo.

Only other one I see out there is motionbox.com w/ shutterfly video premium for $29.99/yr. (not bad!)

Anyone use a service like this?

Thanks for the help,

Adam Holland

What kind of hosting plan do you have now? Look into managed VPS hosting plans which start at about $40 per month.

Revver turns out to be more expensive than S3, you don't have control over your videos and it's kind of f**ked up and unprofessional

Vimeo doesn't allow you to host videos of commercial nature on their website - their website is "community based"

Anyway I would recommend to use Amazon S3. Cheap and reliable, even though you'll need to figure on what kind of service you'll use to stream your videos.

Josh had mentioned EZS3, which I think is a nice service, yet I did some research via Twitter Search and it turns out that their servers are down very often...

Alternative is a thing called JW Player from LongTail Video | Home of the JW Player
It requires very little technical knowledge. There's a free version and also a commercial version which costs about 60 bucks.

I also use S3 and you can see an example here.

Wordpress | The Internet Marketers Club

Just create your video and add the address in a plugin and quick video streaming.

pm me if you need help.

You could also take a look at EZS3(.com)

eZs3 is a service which allows you to fully manage your own S3 (Amazon) account, including uploading and downloading files and folders, and creating players and wrappers that you can easily use to embed media files on your website.

They have developed a simple uploader applet which allows you to navigate through folders on both your local PC, and your hosting account at Amazon S3, and use drag-and-drop to simply transfer files between the two.

There are also a lot of other great features - and it has a great price!
    Hope this helps!

A lot of the gurus use s3 and ezs3 to manage and host their videos.

Motion Box looks good but when you read the small print it's for personal content only, not commercial.

Having spent the day researching this very topic it seems that Amazon S3 is the way to go. If only there was a Wordpress Plugin or an easy, free, way to embed the videos it would be a no brainer. Am looking at VideoWebWizard and going to try out their 3 day trial of v2 which can be used with S3. Looks like you can pick up v1 for as little as $0.50!

I would use Amazon S3 and I would also use Easy Video Player as it is a one off fee and has more functionality than EZs3 and works well with Wordpress. I am using exactly that for my upcoming Membership Site.

See my signature for EVP or do a read on the forum of the Easy Video Player review thread. It's quite a long one.

One of my bonuses is installation of the script if that helps!
