    Make it an LLC

That way you have some legal protection if someone decides to sue you. They have to go after the LLC and not you personally. Hence the "Limited Liability Company."

You can just rent a mailbox with a real street address, preferably not a PO BOX and set it up.

i heard when you file an llc you can actually pick how you want the irs to tax your corporation and you can get certain advantages depending on how you file your corp and what type of business you have.

does anyone know about this and how it relates to this kind of business

Yes that is true. However, I am not a CPA so it is best to find yourself one and discuss you particular tax consequences as everyone is different due to our wonder 20,000+ page Federal Tax Code

Seriously, I would never look to a forum like this for this kind of advice. You should be talking to a professional accountant, not a bunch of strangers when it comes to something so important for your business.

Going with a lawyer and consulting with them about this is the way to go.

If you were just going to be doing affiliate marketing and that's it, you would not need an LLC.

l1one gave decent advice. Yes you should consult a tax professional.

I am in Canada and the tax laws are very strict. The US even wants to model the Canadian Tax system (along with many other countries) because Canada really likes to squeeze the $hit out of the small guys.

In the US, your population is a way more than that of Canada so they take less in taxes than us.

I have run my home business with an "INC" (Incorporation). It is similar to and LLC.

I initially registered this business over 15 years ago when I had a trucking business. I now use this INC for my home business.

Yes if someone sues the incorporation, it is liable as an entity and can protect your personal assets from being interfered with.

Yes there will be things that you can write off like expenses incurred to make an income relating to your business.

But in the end, yes speak to a tax professional. I pay my accountant up to $1K per year and he is well worth the money.

obviously I'm going to get professional tax/legal advice people I just really believed that someone around my area might know since a lot of warriors do these same kinds of things in their business.

Some relevant current personal experience advice if you have it would be great.

something helpful like, "I registered my business as x bc y."

Find a good lawyer otherwise you could end up paying more taxes than you should.

If you do things wrong you could be double taxed your corp and you.
