Most common lead generation mistakes

Hey all,

I'm starting this thread for all those, who would like to share their lead generation mistakes.
Let me start with a couple of obvious ones:

1. Relying solely on one tactic
2. Poor implementation
3. Selling to leads, instead of nurturing them
4. Lack of sustainable management of leads
5. No decision making, therefore no results.

    I like this thread I mean it's interesting to share mistakes here to avoid these things in the lead generation campaign. I want to add one more point in the list which is "Features instead of Benefits". When explaining your offer to visitors, always display the benefits to them and the needs it will solve. A crucial mistake many make is showing the features of their offer rather than displaying the value it will bring to leads.

    The most common mistake that I see today is:
    The Crash and Burn their leads, meaning they spam and don't build relationship with it. What they do is they try to collect leads as fast as possible and only treat them like a mere number.

    What's worst is they don't even realize they're doing it!

      Hi,

      I would like to share three common mistakes about lead generation that I have heard from my friends -
      • As today people believe on research, your content missing a well organized structure would be a big mistake.
      • If there is too much information on Optin form, visitors would be annoyed and ignore it.
      • Avoiding social media for lead generation.

    I thought the most common mistake that I see is fairly new internet marketers who try and market their product by any and every method, instead of initially focusing on two or three marketing methods to perfect them first.

    This just normally leads to little results (as they are spreading themselves too thin), and then they end up giving up before really tasting any success online!

      Trying getting as many Leads as possible EVERYDAY regardless of the quality of them. And not distinguishing a high quality Lead from a low quality one
