I can understand this in the "EZINEARTICLES.COM TERMS OF SERVICE FOR AUTHORS:" 10. You agree to not purchase or utilize PPC (PayPerClick), PPV (PayPerView) traffic, safelists, or traffic exchanges to artificially inflate your EzineArticles traffic stats. Doing so may result in your account being terminated. But, is it acceptable to "stumble" your article to promote it? |

By those definitions I believe its O.K. StumbleUpon is a social networking/social bookmarking site. The only problem may be that StumbleUpon does allow one to pay for stumbles. IMHO, unless your niche is highly technical in nature, you're going to have a hard time getting people to stumble an article. In my experience stumblers are more of a visual crowd. Of course, this is not gospel, just telling you what I've gotten out of that site. If I were you I'd create a simple slideshow video with some graphics and record yourself reading the article. Something like that would get far more stumbles than any article would, especially if your content is good, and better still I don't know of any video sharing sites who have those stipulations like EZA has. Check these out: Free Movie Maker: http://www.joern-thiemann.de/tools/SSMM/ Free Audio Software: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ But in the case of your original question, your best bet would be to drop an email to EZA just to be sure. They will have the final word, and any of we Warrior's comments will be pure speculation. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I tried to promote one of my articles through Stumbleupon, they rejected it because they thought that EZA was a spam site (presumably due to the number of submissions). I cancelled the submission immediately. I haven't tried submmitting EZA articles through any other social bookmarking site (Digg, etc), so don't know their policies. |
