I'm getting start to start ads at facebook. I also build a fan page recently. There are 2 methods to promote: promote page (fan page) or promote website.
May i knw which one is better to get targeted audiences and get the cheaper pricing? What we need to look for when advertise in fb?

You want the traffic to visit your site...so I'd say you definitely want to promote your website UNLESS you have an unbelievable fan page that people can't help but click-through to see your website. Also, you probably want a specific landing page for those facebook clicks and it should be specific to your ad.

    Hi
If you promote your fan page and set a link to your website it serves both the purpose.

Promoting your website from your Page is a way to create an ad for your site must be interested. If you need to construct romantic relationships with the people who matter in your business by way of the Fb Site, then promoting the Site. In case your web site has ten webpages as well as your player has 100 webpages, this can be a much more very likely that a competitor's website will be found first. Be sure the many exclusive content can be high quality content understanding that it's going to guide any visitors. Simply creating content to make content isn't going to assist you or perhaps any visitors. May it helps you.

I would suggest promoting your website rather than your page because that's where your monetization process is.

You would be better off to promote your own website. You can't just take your fan page and advertise it on Google or Yahoo. They will not allow this.

Having your own website has a lot of benefits. You can add or remove anything you want from it. And you can advertise it anywhere you want.

What you want to promote is whichever one has your sign-up for your mailing list. That way instead of promoting your product or service once to the person, you can promote it many times.

This is a good post. Everyone is saying promote your own site. But you are asking about Facebook ads right now, am I right?

I have heard stories about other marketers who actually advertise their Facebook fan pages instead of their own websites (on FB Ads). This is something that you need to look into more.

Now regarding any other paid ad strategy 'outside' FB, advertise your 'own' website or lead capture page for sure.
