hoping for some guidance.

Hello Warriors,
It's been sometime since I have been on WF, and figured it was time to finally get serious.
I have been a member for awhile now and have tried somethings that I found in this forum mainly guides on making Amazon review sites. I had some success (very little) and than Amazon took affiliates away from my state so I just let the site go.

I became very discouraged after that, but kept on trying to find something but it always became such an information overload constantly looking for some system any system that would have some value and actually get me on my way to making an online income. It seemed like most systems I would find such terrible reviews and scam alerts it became hard to trust anything.

I am back today with the hopes for some true guidance, perhaps a true mentor that would be willing to point me in the right direction to making money online, whether that be CPA, affiliate sites as long as it's not Amazon as they don't allow it in my state anymore or any other type of method that a newbie can learn and scale up to one day make it a full time income.

Thanks for your time everyone and I would really appreciate any advice you might have.

Have you tried list building / solo ads? It's the best for noobs to get some initial success.

You don't have to deal with SEO, SEM,PPC,PPV,CPA.. Lol and all the other.

    So keep it simple!

This is good advice, you will be building something right from the start. Use the Search facility here on WF to learn as much as you can about how to buy solo's, list building, affiliate marketing, email marketing etc.

Yep list building is a great way. Building up an email list by giving away a free product like an ebook etc. Then promote solo adverts to your list as it grows

    JTHenry55,

One way that has been effective for decades is capitalizing on certain trends with significant long term possibilities ...

For example, mobile use now exceeds PC use globally, in all languages ...
This is the biggest shift since the beginning of the Internet, as reported by this SEW article last year ...

And, Google recently announced their plans to deliver more mobile-friendly page results starting this April 21 ...
This is a significant ranking algorithm change and will affect mobile search results globally, in all languages, according to this recent SEOMoz blog post ...

Plus, Google just confirmed their plans to rollout a paid ad-free Youtube subscription service this June ...
They announced this via an email sent out to Youtube partners, according to this recent TechCrunch article ...

Based on those things, here are some of my initial thoughts:

    • B2B -- Many small businesses, start-up companies and established corporations around the world can significantly benefit from these changes ...

-- They can do this by cost-effectively hiring the right people, strategically developing the right processes and successfully deploying the right technologies for their business development campaigns, product and content creation plans, advertising and marketing campaigns ...

-- However, many of them probably don't know these things yet, don't have sufficient knowledge about these things, or don't have the expertise to do the right things ...

=>> Want to help them out?

    • B2C -- Significant groups of people around the world caused the development of these strategic shifts, in order to give them what they want when they're searching, viewing, sharing and talking about possible solutions for their specific needs and problems ...

=>> Want to help them out?

In both instances -- You can create content, technologies, solutions, products and services, or recommend affiliate products and services; and

Through the Internet -- You can cost-effectively reach your target audience, strategically grab their attention, keep them interested in viewing your content, entice them to engage and share your content, successfully compel them to grab your solutions, provide them with value-added online and offline services, and convert them into repeat buyers ...

Solo ads for newbies?? That's some of the worst "advice" I've seen on this forum, and I've seen some bad.

If you are very short of money, read my blog post,
    Spam!

I just wrote an eBook designed to help people in your exact position and I would love to give you a free review copy if you could leave a review in my review thread afterward
I'll PM you with the details.
    More spam!

    hoping for some guidance.
Be very careful who you choose to accept said guidance from, or you will be guided to an empty bank account.

Why not try the search function, the sub forums (especially the one for CPA), then you can ask real questions and not just vague ones.

too bad you did not sign up for the warroom when it was $20.00

I didn't think my question was vague, and I have searched the forums and read many many different things and researched many many different methods. This is the problem because it becomes information overload and most of the information is so vague it never really shows you how to get started.

How is asking for help and a true method to follow vague, I realize there's many different ways to get started online but I'm looking for a proven specific method to follow and stick with it and master it.

I see many of you suggested list building/solo ads, and than another person said that sounds like a terrible idea for beginners. So what do the rest of you think?

That's the main reason why I recommend first learning business and marketing fundamentals ...
That's also why I mentioned one fundamental method in my first post here ...

I suggest learning these relevant fundamentals before trying to search for specific ways to formulate and execute campaign plans ...
You'll know what exactly to search for, what exactly to ask, where exactly to go to and so on ...

I'm sure you know that business isn't as simple as following a specific method, sticking with it, mastering it and getting successful results ...
There is no guarantee that you'll get the same success as the success of others in following, sticking and mastering a proven specific method, even if you follow, stick and master that proven specific method ...

For example, providing a platform where people can search whatever they want and get the most timely, the most relevant and the most popular results has generated a lot of success for Google and Bing ...

Same thing with providing a platform where people can post and watch videos (Youtube and other popular video repositories), and where people can socialize and mingle with their peers or share and keep themselves updated about the things that are going on with their peers and the rest of the world (Facebook) ...

Or, giving away free software and monetizing that with premium product sales, recommendations of relevant products from strategic B2B partners and backend sales of premium support is also very successful for AVG and iYogi ...

And, so is service arbitrage, as shown by the results of sites like oDesk, Freelancer and so on ...

        BUT ...

Not everyone has the right fiscal and non-fiscal resources for acquiring the right people, for implementing the right processes, for creating the right technologies, and for successfully executing everything, including sales and marketing and support campaigns ...

The problem with your amazon review business model I guess was that it didn't have a method to collect email address of people interested in the product that you were promoting. If you had build a list then even if amazon shut down shop in your state, you could promote products from other places to your email list. So if you want to really try a proven specific method then you need to first find a niche that you would like to work in. Then set up a website with opt in page to collect email address of people interested in that niche in return for a free ebook or gift. You can then set up auto responder emails to promote products from affiliate networks to your list. As long as you own the list, you have a business that you can run. Master the art of bringing targeted traffic to your opt in page and you will have a constant flow of subscribers.
