Clickbank Landing Page

Hello everyone,

I have tried to use Clickbank in the past but never really understood what a landing page is. Can someone please explain exactly what a landing page is and how to create one please? I've tried to just get traffic onto my clickbank referral link but I obviously need a landing page.

Thank you!

A landing page is simply a page a visitor lands on.

It can be a pre-sell or squeeze page. If you send people to the home page of your blog, that would be the "landing page."

A landing page is a little more complicated than just creating one. To do a landing page well, you need to have you own website, you need an autoresponder to collect the information of visitors to your site, and you need an offer, something free, to give them in exchange for their information. To create the landing page is easy, you just create a page on your website and advertise whatever free offer you are giving away. You need to "bribe" someone to give you their information, and when they do, they get something free, and you get to advertise your affiliate links to them. The whole process of what a landing page actually does is actually pretty complex when you are first trying to figure it out. I recommend check out youtube videos. Just search for "what is a landing page." Yeah, you will get a lot of reviews for certain products, but just ignore the advertisements and listen for what they are trying to accomplish with their pages.

    • To reiterate what the other guys have said, a landing page is exactly what the name suggests, i.e the first page you come to on a site.

Very often this is interchangeable with a 'squeeze page'. A squeeze page usually being a single page offering a gift in return for details (usually email address).

The objective of this is to get a 'list' of individuals you know are interested in a certain topic or niche (you know this because they signed up for the gift you were giving away).

The reason for taking the effort of building a squeeze page to do this is that you can mail this list over and over again, as long as your mails are perceived as useful/informative/interesting (if your mails are not this, the subscriber will just unsubscribe).

The fact you can mail over and over again means you have your own targeted list of potential customers rather than constantly having to find new ones. You can then offer these individuals either your own or affiliates products or services.

I hope this helps and I wish you all the best with your marketing efforts

A landing page can be an opt in page, your own review page, and even the sales presentation page of the vendor.

A squeeze page is a page where you give the visitor only 1 option and that is to opt into your list.

One of the things you can do is to create your own website. You can add a picture of yourself. Then you can talk a little about you or you can just review a product that you are promoting.

Then at the bottom of the page, just add the link for your prospects to click on.

Just to add to what was said - from Clickbank setup point of view, the "pitch" page becomes your landing page for the hoplink that is setup in Clickbank (allowing affiliates to promote your product). That "pitch" page is the first page they hit and where the cookie is initially set to track an affiliate's referral for up to 60-days after they initially click on your landing page. (Meaning they will get paid the commission you set if the lead comes back and buys within 60-days of clicking on your hop link to your landing page)

To put it simply, a landing page is a page that is used to "pre-sell" your customer, something to nudge him or her in the right direction (getting them to visit the merchant page). Most often, these are "product review" pages, where you answer all their unanswered questions before they buy. People who go looking for product reviews have usually been exposed to a product a number of times, which is why the help to increase conversion rates.

If you find it difficult to create a landing page(LP) you can always outsource one for as little as $5 from fiverr.com
