Question About the Commercial Value of Keywords

I have found a good long tail keyword and bought a (keyword).net domain. My plan for the domain is to build a blog and post plenty of articles, build a list, and eventually sell an info product to the list.

I went to ADLABS to check out the commercial value of the keyword. Its the first time I am using this tool, and Im not sure I understand the results.

When I type in my keyword and get the result for QUERIES on that keyword, the result comes back with a NON-COMMERCIAL INTENT OF 0.79.

But when I do a check on the domain name that I bought (keyword . net) and get a result for that URL, it gives a result of COMMERCIAL INTENT = 0.91.

So does this keyword have good commercial value or not? (scratching head)

I pay no attention to commercial intent. Just use the best tool you have which is your brain. Ask yourself what the person that is typing in that keyword is looking for. If you wanted to buy a product or find certain information what would you type in.

In fact i have the same startegy as yours except when comes to evaluate the commercial value of keyword. I don't have that in my implementation plan, so i can't comment on that.

The only thing that i can comment is the other part which same as what i'm currently practice.

      Cheers..

The best way to check if a keyword has value is to see how many ads people are paying for in adwords and what is the cost per click. If people are willing to pay a lot for their ad, it means that it is making them money.

      Exactly right!

Just simply looking over the number of paid ad's for that keyphrase will tell you if its worth persuing or not.

But then if you are making a list from the site and going to give away a load of free information (even just in the form of article) and build trust with these people then you should be able to easily sell them a related product! No matter what the commercial intent is!

That commercial intent figure is just really there for article marketing to send people to a presell page and also for adwords. But yes your brain is still the best tool!

Best way to determine it is simply track it with some live testing. Use their tool simply as a gauge. Make sure you can track IP & search query to leadcapture or point of sale so that you can do periodical audits on what keywords are making you the mula. Once you know with this certainty...it's time to run around the interwebs buying up those keywords and focusing heavily on more organic traffic around that/those phrase(s).

The "commercial" value of a key word or "the commercial value of intention" is employed to estimate the probability of convertion rate to your site or page of landing. Higher the commercial value of the key word, a greater chance the visitor will go well to a customer.
Any confusion, we will release with a example, also pay attention very not to confuse the convertion rate with CTR (click by the rate).
Example: A prospect customer who makes shopping on line for a posting with liquid crystals TV
The best purchasers on line are those which can go shoes in their prospect customers des'. Let us bring back a measurement, to forget our page of landing, and speak about the various modes that our customers éventuels' are inside before starting to seek. Let us start by classifying these prospect customers:
    1) Window buyer: They are only probable research, not in the mood of PURCHASE now, perhaps in the mood of purchase of part.
If I were window shopping or to make just a general very seek about posting with liquid crystals TV. I would employ the display devices with liquid crystals TV, of posting with liquid crystals TV, posting with liquid crystals of TV, the life of a posting with liquid crystals TV, plasma or posting with liquid crystals etc for my key words.
Though these key words have the lower commercial value, the creation of the guides about posting with liquid crystals TV, and of the pages of landing of general information would be perfect to aim these key words for my marketing campaign.

    according to microsoft OCI

    NON-COMMERCIAL INTENT OF 0.79.

Would mean it has rather a non-commercial intent, with a likelihood of 79%
(Otherwise it would say commercial intent 0.79

However, i wouldn't give this too much weight, really.
