The reality is, unless you have a pocket full of money, you have to learn how to write articles. Keep in mind, it is not hard and article marketing is great and a good way to get traffic. So here is one article writing strategy that is so easy and most people miss it! Do you visit forums often? Most people get stuck in forums for 2-3 hours per day, because they are responding to user questions. So now you are building content for other websites. Well why don’t you use the forums to inspire you to write? Here is what to do. Go to any forum you are a member of in your niche and scan the posts. Click on any one that has an interesting title as well as the question you want to respond to. Now you can either bookmark the text OR copy and paste to a word document… Now go paste it on another site! Just Kidding! Use that information to put together your article. Make sure you really picture that person when writing that article. Give some very helpful advice. Be detailed and talk to them like they are a friend of yours! Now make sure you have 10 of those interesting posts at least. And you will have 10 articles written in no time! I hope this helps...Ivana |

I am not sure this helps with those that hate to write articles as it would still be burdensome.

Most people hate writing articles but love communicating in forums... Why not combine the two and get hundred of articles written!

I dig it! Running out of ideas for articles is often the tough part of article marketing. This is a great idea generator. Nice tip. John |

Great idea. A couple of the really long threads that I have seen in the past could even be turned into ebooks.

Nice post. I agree that a lot of people get "stuck" trying to write and article because they just can't concentrat on what exactly to write about. I mean they have a niche, but what will they cover in the article(s). Well when you have questions in front of you, it IS easier to just answer those questions and those answers become articles. I also use Yahoo Answers to gather good questions as well as forums. |

Another overlooked place is MSN....I've found lots of great content on the various message boards there. To find them all you have to do is from their start page, click on a major topic. From there you can dig deeper into various sub-forums on practically every topic. Just look for the "Message Board" link and you'll be on your way! Check it out....you'll be amazed! |

This is actually a variant on a well-known creativity booster that I've seen in lots of creative writing courses. The idea is if you can't write what's in your own head, imagine you're writing to a specific person and telling them directly what you want to tell them in letter format. I think a lot of people find writing forum posts easily because they actually ARE writing to another person, and not trying to write in isolation. I must admit that I frequently save my own forum responses to expand upon as sellable reports down the line. (I don't really write my own articles much.) But the idea remains the same. Good post! |

Another great idea is to imagine you are telling your brother sister how to do something or explaining to them any concept - you naturally break it down into simple friendly language. You can use dragon naturally speaking software to convert your voice into text. One of the advantages of this is that you keep a friendly conversational style to win over your readers. For instance the language you use in everyday life is a lot softer than when you write serious articles. |

I just started with article marketing. This will help me "get in the groove" so-to-speak. Thank you for the post and the great idea. I have a fear of writing so this should help overcome that fear. Thanks, Rob G. |

I've heard of using this strategy for creating inexpensive short reports and eBooks before, but somehow I overlooked it as an inspiration for article writing. Makes perfect sense, now that I actually think about it. Thanks Ivana, -Jeff |

the problem for most people is not getting ideas for articles, it's writing them! I, for example am french, so my written english is not perfect. But even people who's first language is english write poorly, that is the problem I think

What an interesting idea for generating ideas! The same goes for some other very helpful posts in this thread, so thank you to all. I sometimes go on article sites and just browse through random categories until I see what topic is catching my eye today. I actually love article writing, so it isn't as much of a problem, but I sometimes feel like I've run out of ideas. Glad to hear it isn't just me! |

It's true that it can be easier to write articles when you are answering a question. However, one should be careful and not copy the posts word for word... just take them as inspiration. Franck |

While I agree that getting ideas for articles from forum questions is a great idea, there is something you need to be aware of when doing this. While one might "enjoy" interacting in forums and answering questions, what is acceptable as a forum post may not be acceptable as an article. I am speaking about the format, grammar, etc. Many answers that you get from forum threads would make horrible articles because they're not planned out well. Heck, my own replies would sometimes make terrible articles. An article needs a compelling title, a beginning, middle and end, not to mention an effective resource box to get people to your site. You're not going to get all of that just from a forum post. You still have to know how to correctly format an article. That isn't going to come just from liking to answer questions. Yes, it's a start, but you need actual technical skills to make your articles effective. Those who don't like to write will still have a difficult time coming up with something that will pass the article directory acid test. Just something to keep in mind. |

Steve... Ivana was talking about using forums as a base for article writing.. not simply typing the forum post up as an article. I think she made that quite clear, but I suppose in your need to spew "tips", you glossed over her post and just replied.... desperate to meet your post quota for the day or somethin? I would have thought this little bit would have given you a clue though, when Ivana said: Quote:

Get Dragon Naturally speaking 10 preferred and you never ahve to type another word. This voice to text software isn't cheap but it will help you put out more articles than if you had to type them. Mike |

I don't use the dragon naturally software, but is there a free version (or alternative version) of the sample of how it sound. the price tag of 300 is a lot to pay, without testing it first. I've got an accent, and want to make sure it can "hear me" ![]() Thanks...Ivana |

We tend to think it's hard to write an article because of the content.I suggest pick topic that interest you most, gather opinion and facts then put it all together. That's it!

This is a great idea. I recently joined a few related forums so I could get an idea for topics to write about on a new blog I've started. I ended up writing quite a few posts, just by looking at the sections of the forum! Great way to generate ideas and get the creative juices flowing! |

Great post Ivana. In fact, visiting forums start the sparking process on our brains. Our interest on reading on is because we know that behind those posts there are real folks taking their precious time to participate. What I use to create unique articles the easiest way, is to do some brainstorming first. You know. That brainstorm process where you write the Topic's Title at the middle of an 8.5"X11" and start branching away your subtopics and notes as fast as they come to your mind. After that, you will have a nice pull of ideas to pick from when the typing begins. Then, each idea, might become a nice paragraph. When you have about 4 or 5 paragraphs, you can join the whole stuff as follows: Introduction: "Telling them what you will tell them" You will show the meat first because normally, on webwriting, that chunk of your article shows first in search engine. Sort of an abstract. You will use about 6 or 7 lines giving a fast intro on the main idea of each paragraph. Paragraph 1: You speak about idea number 1 in about 4 to 5 lines and create a linking sentence to the next idea. Paragraph 2: The same linking to the next one. Paragraph 3: Ditto. Paragraph 4: Now, you are near concluding the task. You need to close your last idea linking to the final paragraph called the conclusion. Conclusion: Now, you write about what the ideas of the past material might conclude and very important, make a call to action some way. There are many phrases that should make someone jump out of the seat or click a link, or scream.....anything. Well thats one of the "techniques" I use. Now you have an article of about 500 to 600 words if you kept a 5 lines paragraph measure more or less. To be honest, I don't remember where did I get that. Of course I got it from an eBook but I don't recall the name of the author cause my memory ain't what it used to be. ![]() I dare anyone here to write an article here following that "recipe". If you do, I'll write mine. LoL!Ups! And I almost forget. The other day, while writing some articles for some of the most common articles directories, it stroked me. The simple fact that your Internet connexion will go down any minute or just the session expiring time of your account, or forum text editor, makes you automatically write faster. There is no better deadline than that imposed for your environment. Just think about it. You will answer to this thread and while you do it, and if you are as "smart" as me, you will Select all-Copy what you are writing just in case. Sometimes I get a phone call while I do it or just go to get me cup of coffee before submitting what I wrote. In that case, I paste my stuff on an external tool and I'll send it later. I use Jay Jennings Article Architect. It is a great tool to keep your work organized and helps you with the keywords research and density and many interesting stuff. It is no article spinner just in case. Well, this post became an article. SEE WHAT I MEAN??? ![]() Have a great online session. |
