When marketers do the right thing

I won't say who, but a big marketer put out a "crappy" product in my opinion and was blasted all over for it. Guess what? He wasn't pleased about it, but he refunded everyone that complained. That shows character. He took it in the shorts, criticism and all and just did the right thing.

He stepped up, did the right thing, swallowed his pride, and I have respect for that.

    I suspect if this happened he must of outsourced or did some JV deal without doing his homework

    if it was a JV deal I can bet this won't happen again in particular if he had a reputation of delivering good product

    Got to give him credit thou, with refunding,

    but the black eye won't go away soon thou

    That definitely shows character!!!
    When you say he was not pleased, do you mean he was not pleased with what was being said or with the product itself after the launch?

      He was not pleased about people saying bad things about his product and I'm sure thought it was a fine product.

    I don't know - does this really say much if all he did was honor his refund policy?
    (I'm assuming he had the typical guarantee/refund policy)
