Invariably, cheap means poor quality: poor content, poor grammar, poor syntax. Pay peanuts and expect to receive monkey food. Is that really how you want visitors to see your website?

$5 isn't a lot, if it's a unique 800 word + article...

You could buy plr reports, and turn each report into 5 - 10 great articles...

Even if someone offered to write me an article for $5 or less, I still wouldn't accept because I know it's going to be crap and/or stolen. A badly-written article isn't worth anything to me. I don't care if someone in India says he'll write me 2,000 words for $10 - It's worthless to me when you see the terrible quality.

Good writers won't work for peanuts and rightly so. Oh and good writing is a lot more than no spelling or grammar mistakes.

I use trusted native English speakers who don't outsource when I need something specific that I don't have time to research or write myself and I pay upwards of $30 per article, sometimes significantly more and it's money well spent.

This topic always burns me up because the exact same people will be back in a few weeks saying, "Look at all the articles on my site...why aren't I getting any traffic?"

So let's just skip forward two weeks in time and answer that now- cheap articles do not pay. In fact, a bad article that never gets read and is packed with grammar errors will actually make your entire website rank WORSE than it did before that article was posted...so you are literally guaranteeing that your site will fail with bad content on it. The more you post, the less visible you become, until Google finally forgets that you even exist.

So if you want cheap, then you're better off going to McDonald's and buying a hamburger instead. Because at least that way, you're not hurting your site's reputation by showing real people why they shouldn't do business with you.

Not sure why you would buy cheap articles unless it's for a blog network or something.

IWriter might be good choice for that, but f you want to be succesful, then you really need to focus on quality and your own erpsnal touch, instead of slapping a bunch of purchased articles on a site and expect things will happen.

Yikes, I didn't think $5 for an article was expensive. I pay bout $12+ for 1,000 word articles from iWriter.com and I'm happy to pay that as long as they are well written.

Elance and Odesk have a large selection of freelancers from third world countries but if you want anything cheaper than 5$, be prepared for low quality articles.

I agree with many warriors here, cheap articles are crap. I am a writer myself, and I never accept less than $15 for a 1,000-word article. I write fiction, non-fiction, blog posts in various niches if you are interested...

Get an Unicode article spinner and you won't have to spend a single cent on articles. But, really what's the point of this?

Frankly, I rarely use $5 articles because my readers are way more valuable than that...but if you can't even invest and I repeat "invest" $5 for a single article, I think you are in the wrong business....or maybe you just need a replacement for "Lorem Ipsium Dolor..." to act as placeholder content on blank pages?
