I've spent over a decade doing this and constantly educating myself. I'm sure another WF member, with more time on their hands, will hand you a 5,000 word treatise on the topic. I'll try my best to steer you in the right direction with a couple of valuable tips:

    1. It's the video content that causes a viral reaction, not the additional marketing. Become a student of what makes them go viral. Implement.

    2. Those additional marketing efforts should be used to instigate a sharing response. The trick is getting engagement on your content to spur a full-on viral reaction.

I wish you all the best with this area. I'm quite passionate about it and find it fun as heck.

There are no "shortcuts" per se, but try to get some of your articles syndicated in publications which are targeting specialized groups or networks of people. These may include relevant trade journals, organizations, special interest groups, etc. People with common interests quite often will share such articles with friends, coworkers, fellow members, etc. Also, if articles are newsworthy, PRweb can be a powerful tool for quickly getting wide distribution. Make a conspicuous promo at the top of your article archive webpage offering free reprints of your articles.

  • You have to start with Quality.
The next most important aspects of quality content that is share-worthy:
    1. Intriguing Headline
It's your headline that will capture reader's attention

    2. Well formatted article
I recommend a high quality image that reiterates the "moral" of your story~
    Irony, humor, intrigue are important.

Start paragraphs with a specific goal in mind, don't write aimlessly.

A great article structure is often like:

    [Featured Image]

Intro Paragraph - start with an intriguing claim.

2-5 Paragraphs explaining your point of view.

Conclusion Paragraph, Summarize what you just say and leave room for debate.

Now once you have a quality article, I'd recommend you list your article on sites like ContentMutual.com or BloggerDash.com so it is available for republishing/syndication with your permission.

Let me know if you have more questions.
