Here's the basic formula if you want to earn as an advertiser.

1. Build a website
2. Drive Traffic to your website
3. Monetize your website.

To be honest, Step 1 - 2 is a bit of work in my opinion, there are better ways to spend your time building a website, driving traffic and earning only a few pennies only to annoy your readers.

Best way is to sell your ad space once you get enough traffic. (that's if you want to go this route)


Another option to make money on your website is by collecting email leads and selling related affiliate products or your own services.

I've tried adf.ly in the past. I don't recommend it. You need to generate TONS of traffic to get pennies.

You'll get a better RETURN ON EFFORT if you promote Adsense. That's not saying much but this speaks VOLUMES about how low the ROE and ROI of adf.ly is for publishers.

The only situation I can see adf.ly making you BANK is if you have a content locker site. Since such sites normally host pirated stuff or porn, this is a no go for most marketers. I wouldn't recommend going the content locker route.

If you really want to make some money you need to promote some products or cpa offers.

Post on forums
Most of the forums allow links in your posts. Find a trending topic that is going to be trending for few months at least (So that you can make money for months). Find forums related to that topic and sign up to them. Find something related to that topic and post on them on the forums. Keep increasing your posts solely (Note: Never spam or you will get banned from forums).You will see your earnings increasing slowly.

Comment on blogs
This is similar to the above trick. Just the difference is that this time you are posting on blogs related to your topic.

Using Social Networks
Social networks are place where people usually share links. Only you have to do is that, find some famous social networks and before posting any link shorten it with adf.ly. But you should take care that a person after seeing the advertisement and skipping the ad, should get something interesting. If he gets something junk, surely he is not going to click your links anymore in the future. (Most famous social networks like facebook, twitter etc. have banned adf.ly links. Don’t worry there are other social networks which have not banned them.)

Using Blog or Website
If you have a blog or a website, you can use it to make money from Adf.ly. Just change your outgoing links to adf.ly links or you can also their full page script or website entry script.

Adf.ly is a waste of time, it is a URL shortener from which you can earn from by shortening your url links. It pays a paltry $5 per 1000 clicks.

This is a bit tricky as far as "point of view" goes. It may pay only $5 or $10 after sending adf.ly tons of traffic, but if you live somewhere where it is very difficult to make $5 or $10 a day through hard physical labor, and you find out that you can make that much without doing a lot of physical labor, then it is a Godsend (trust me - I have some VERY loyal workers doing virtual worker jobs for me on Fiverr for this reason).
