EZA - Is Running Me Crazy, Help Please.

Can someone please explain to me what self promotion means in Ezine article terms? I have heard 2 of my articles rejected because of this and all my resource boxes deleted and I am afraid 6 other articles may be rejected because of this.

I guess one article was rejected because I said. ( This is just a guess, I am not totally sure what is self promotional about my article".

" There is nothing perfect in life. There are times that the xxx you are looking for is not available ( which is very rare) and the system can also make the mistake of generating the wrong information ( I have done so many xxxx and this has not happened to me, but I hear it happens) but you can always get a refund if you are not totally satisfy with the information generated provided you order through clickbank ( see link below)"

Here is one of my resource box ( with some works changed for privacy)..

"There are few directories that are very reliable, up-to-date and very accurate. The service I use and recommend is xxx ( hyperlinked). It is regarded by many as the xxxx. Click here to read a review on xxxx "

Anything wrong with these?

It was probably the paragraph before the resource box. "check the link below" in an EzineArticles article won't get approved. I've tried this in many variations.

From telling people that "I'll show them below" to "let me show you a video on how to do this".

They don't want you to make any part of the article sound like an advertisement.

And the part that you say "check the link below" sounds like one.

Some of the editors MIGHT let it slide by, but for the most part, it'll get rejected.

Just take it out and make the article informative.

Yea - it sounds like an advertisement and not an article. I use the hook: "For more information please check this out XXX" Where XXX is a link. This has worked for 4 articles of mine - good luck...

Ok I guess the one in the article body sounds like an advert but can't I advertise in my own resource box?

I have read their guidelines over and over again and I see it is OKAY to advertise in one's resource box but they have deleted all my resource boxes for unknown reasons.

OK, I'm an EZA vet. Well, vet I dunno, but 3 years writing articles there says that I do kinda know what they expect. Yet OP's problem has just happened to me as well. The kicker is that it comes from an article that had been previously approved and had awesome traffic for 11 months prior. I had only resubmitted this article because I was forced to repair a broken link within the resource box.

And I add that this particular article has NO SELF PROMOTION and NO LINKS AT ALL within the body. None. Zero. It's completely informational. My resource box is a 3 year old default box, so there is nothing odd happening there. No "please click below" or "you should try my site for...". Nothing.

I've had an editor friend also look over the article and he said the following ... "whoever came to that conclusion is a complete idiot."

So I'm also quite peeved. It must be a case of a newly hired, daft editor. Sometimes they hire right knuckleheads at EZA.

At any rate, OP, I've sent them a response to this weirdness and await their reply.

Thanks for this great reply. I have sent them a message and now waiting for their reply but experienc tells me they will ask me to redo the article which I have done.

What I find funny is that my other articles are not getting accepted either. I am a Platinum Author but my articles have been at just the 3 stage of review even though I expected them to have been accepted by now.

I submitted 9 articles, only 1 is live so far which is very annoying.

Remember EZA is not the only article directory out there although probably the best known. Why not take a look at goarticles.com where you can post your links in the body of the article or look at another Warrior member Alan Greeves I believe who has a membership site for people who want to submit articles without all the restrictions from EZA and a lot more functions like RSS feeds etc.

I always submit my articles to at least the top 5. When I first started I went for the top 20 but it was taking heaps of time - and I was too stubborn to cave in for an article submitter. Now I iz one lazy bum when it comes to submitting articles.

Maybe it's time I stopped outsourcing my coffee to Starbucks and used the savings to shell out for a good article submitter. ( I'm angrily looking at my 8.00 Starbucks latte as I say that).

EZA's put's it simply where the article is the "give" and the resource box is your "take". What it looks like to me is you are linking your article to your resource box which in effect is making your article your "take'" too.

If you changed your article to make it like this:
" There is nothing perfect in life. There are times that the xxx you are looking for is not available ( which is very rare) and the system can also make the mistake of generating the wrong information ( I have done so many xxxx and this has not happened to me, but I hear it happens)."

And your resource box includes this part:
You can always get a refund if you are not totally satisfy with the information generated provided you order through clickbank.
