The moment you think about money is when you fail

Well, not entirely true of course. You need to think about money in a way that benefits your business like savings, investments, prices, sales funnels and so on.

But the moment you start thinking about making money instead of helping people is when your business starts to crumble.

Because at this moment you automatically develop a mentality that only focuses on cashing in and most people will see through this facade.

(If you're not incredibly skilled at masking your true intentions that is)

I believe that online success, or success anywhere for that matter, is determined by how willing you are to help other people in some way. If you can provide enough value to people's lives they'll be much more willing to actually compensate you for it in the end (with money).

So, even though I don't have a degree in business or economics, I still believe that a successful business spawns from a few, simple concepts:

1. Willingness to help people.
2. The ability to create and execute an effective business blueprint and layout.
3. Doing everything in your power to grow and expand, both business-wise and personally.

So to anyone thinking solely about the money, drop that attitude and start thinking about how you can actually help people and bring value to their lives.

I just wanted to get this out of my system, I may have missed something so please fill in if you'd like!

Cheers!

Karl

I totally agree, theres a saying somewhere is to be a servant to others and you will get what you want! I used to do IT support before and the most I enjoyed about it was the helping others solve their computer problems, of course i got paid but the real joy was when someone I helped would thank you so much, you know that for them this was a big deal as it will help them in some way.

      Thanks Karl.

I do agree but I know personally once I do the 'help' and lay the foundation for an ongoing, very educational Course ( thru pre made follow ups), I do get in the Mindset of Promotion and the Marketing of it and making money with it.

Which I believe is perfectly healthy as well as natural.

I agree with this as well!

Once you get your business going you need such a mentality as well!

The most important thing in my eyes is not to jump into online marketing with expectations of making money.

Have expectations of helping people to start with at least!

        Great points being discussed here!

I agree with you friend. People recognize value when they see it. Glad to see that some people are still interested in helping others

I somewhat agree with this. I do believe that helping your customers is your number one priority, but i also think that making money is what drives most marketers to do this. Whether they have good intentions or not, speaking for myself, I try to help everyone, whether they're helping me make money or not, I find that this way, you can build a professional reputation, one that doesnt depict you as greedy or only in it for the money.

There has to be a happy medium. If it's all about the money, your success will be short lived. If it's all about helping others, you might go broke. You need to be able to help other by providing value while still making enough that keeps it sustainable. THe more your able to do this, the more money you'll make. Win-Win.

I agree Karl. While money is the reason most people want to do this I think providing the best possible value you can should be your focus. If you focus and that and actually provide value and insight good things will happen after.

Money is never guaranteed in this business, but if you have a proven plan and remain consistent with that plan you will see your business grow. With every obstacle one overcomes in this business is another step to building something long lasting.

I personally don't want to make a quick buck in the business, but want to grow a stable business for long term success and freedom.

    Good post!

There has to be a balance. Money itself as a goal is never a good idea, it can't be a good standing point since it's usually since it's a factor that is variable. Helping others in an altruistic type of way is really great but no business ever has really started out as a Messiah mission.

A balance is definitely a good thing, but I've seen so many marketers just focusing about the money and needless to say, most of them end up never reaching their potential!
