Hi;

I am a total newbie and I am so shocked.

Google Vs Facebook? Really?

I spent $100 over 4 days and got 1000 new likes, and got 25 people pre-register to my program! Exposure was 24,000 people

With Google that would cost me.... forget it.

Is this normal? Why would I bother with Google or Bing?

    Well done. Most people don't know how to advertise on Facebook effectively. When done right, Facebook can be extremely lucrative.

        The best advice I can give is to NOT sell. Instead, build a branded Facebook page that matches your website and run an ongoing "Like" campaign. Real likes can be had for under $0.10 each.

        Once you have an audience, simply provide them with the content they are looking for and build the relationship. When executed properly, even a small Facebook following can generate TONS of traffic.

        I use my soccer site as an example all the time. With just a hair over 1500 fans, the site gets close to 30K visits per month and virtually all of them originate from Facebook fans or friends of Facebook fans.

        Imagine what a Fan base of 15000 would do?

        Once you've established a fan base, use the "soft sell", instead of trying to "hard sell" them.

          Wow, thanks for the tip!

          Are you talking about a Facebook fan page? Or a group? What are the benefits of one or the other?

          Also you mentioned that real likes can be had for under $0.10 each. What exactly does that mean?

            You're very welcome. I am, in fact, referring to a fan page. By building a fan page with lots of fans, you can drive website traffic by sharing your website links on the fan page.

            I run lots of Facebook "like" campaigns and almost always pay $0.10-$0.20 per like. At such a good price, I can often build a large following for much less than most people.

    Nice job.

    Just keep in mind that this many Likes does not automatically equate to increased Revenue
