Domain and hosting contracts?

Hi all

I have just two more questions to ask, then I will leave you alone thanks for all the amazing help so far.

1) When I buy a doman name say for 1 year and the price is say £10 a year. If at the end of the year will the company who sold the domain name be inclined to make it more expensive the next year if my site does well? As they know I will need the same domain

2) Anybody know if webgators baby plan has a minimum term contract? I cant seem to see this info on their website.

Best wishes

Ben

How well your site does has nothing to do with how much you pay for a domain name.

For Hostgator refunds to a search for refunds here:

Unless you're buying domains from some shady company you won't have to worry about this. Just remember that most of the time when you buy a domian, the first year is cheaper.

I can only help you out with the first question: they don't even care if a website does well or not, all they care about is that you pay your yearly fee.
If the company you're gonna buy your domain name is a serious one, they won't charge extra the second year (unless they specifically say they will!). But even if they did, you can always move your domain from one company to another, I did this when I "broke up" with GoDaddy, I migrated my domain to NameCheap.
