Porn Website Good Idea?

I've always thought about creating one just never really jumped on to it yet. I think I'm ready to make a move now! I do have a idea of a fetish so that would be the niche, but I do need a partner to help me out. Would also like to know is this a good idea or not worth my time?         When I first thought about making money online a porn site was the first thing that came to mind. The trouble is though there is so much free porn out there that without a lot of time/money investment it might be quite hard to make bank. Great story down the pub though.

    where do you plan on getting your content from, because these big porn site guys will come after you and give you a very hard time if you use any of their videos, there is no porn material that is not copyrighted that you can use and they WILL slam you with a lawsuit before you can say blueberrypie

      Well that's the main problem is videos I got to figure that out. If not videos I was thinking maybe I could get some web cam models for the guys as doms

    I would go only for fetish if you want to make cash, find out what your target group likes, know a couple of germans making big time money with scat and golden shower :-) Videos you can get from the right sponsors as well. If you have nice cash get some exclusive content produced - then you have big opportunities. Hentai is also very popular nowadays.

    This is just my opinion.

    I would stay as far away from being associated with porn as you can. It is degrading, destructive, and still banned by many web sites. Your name and your site will get blacklisted just by the mere fact that the topic you're associating with is not universally accepted.

    If you try to do Internet marketing in other markets, you will carry with you a lot of unwanted baggage.

        I don't think you will get the answers that you need here because most people won't talk about any adult stuff on this forum.

        Its a big market but it's mostly a hated necessity and very regulated. You have to be careful in this arena as far as legalities...

        The free tube sites you see are also pretty complicated to create. They require a massive amount of structure and sophisticated plugins or software that can pull a ton of content from different sites.

        They make their money from advertising, banner ads, pop ups, and other ways.

        I think that to compete you have to have a ton of content and a ton of ads and be able to track like a robot ninja...

        Also if you have want to make your own custom site with your own girls you have to have multiple forms and signed documents from girls and a big amount of content or a great fan base to make an impact.

        I would say get a mentor or someone or a site that is doing what your trying to do and model what they are doing.

        You also cant be scared of investing on the site and on traffic.

    I think porn is way too competitive and it attracts a lot of 'freebie' seekers who just want FREE Porn.

    Don't have a clue how well they convert into dollars.

    People say stay far away from porn (and I personally would for business) but in truth, I am a guy and sometimes I end up watching free porn.

    Though one can earn a good amount of money by the porn website. But I think it is not a good things. Because it is the fully responsible to spoil the youth society. So I do not like these kinds of work. Every time, I neglect the porn. Is can not be a good idea according to me. Thanks everyone.

    If you live in a country with beautiful girls and if you have some money, open your own agency. I know it sounds stupid but there's a lot of money in there. As about your website, if you create one, you won't be able to put whole videos there as they are copyrighted and edited videos are everywhere in the internet, so I don't see how you are planning to promote that website, sorry to say this.

    I was under the impression that there is none - or very little, money to be made in porn sites now - the big players dominate the paying sites and free sites pretty much nuke any other avenues.

    I think if you took all the effort that it would take to be a success and put it into more usual internet marketing avenues, you would do a lot better a lot quicker.

    I've seen some really successful niche porn sites go under, so feel if they could not make it, it must be hard

    Just my 2 pence anyway

      Getting guys to go to a webcam site, where I had an affiliate account, where the girls there tempted them very efficiently to whip out their credit cards, among whipping out other things to buy more minutes and private cam time, along with having the guys sign up to "free to join" dating sites (where I got a commission for each free sign up) is what I did when I started out in 2008, and made decent money at it.

      My main traffic method was placing free classified ads, as a pretty young thing in a bikini usually (with pics included in the ads, taken from My-Space mostly) who was looking for a new boyfriend

      I have moved on to other things now, such as list building in different niches, buying and re-selling services and real products online and offline, etc.

    I had one website opened 3 years ago. In my opinion is a waste of time and money. It doesnt realy worth it. But, good luck.

    I thought of getting into the porn industry as an affiliate back in 2006, but it just didn't feel right.

    - I mean how was I going to be proud of myself of making money online by selling porn?

    - Something you can't show your wife/girlfriend, yet even your kids.

    Anyway I even think it's difficult marketing a porn site.

    It's just not worth it.
