Magazine layout vs lineal feed

Hey whats up guys, do you notice any difference between Magazines layout (let's say like Huffingtonpost.com) and lineal feeds? (like gawker.com).

What do you think is better? and why??

    Yep i saw your blog, your blog its more "lineal" than buzzfeed, they have two column on their homepage :p, (and a third one if you count the posts on sidebar). Anyway i think that the homepage just doesn't matter, i researched a little bit and a lot of viral blogs have different layouts... Maybe the content is only thing that matters.
