Is a gaming site worth it?

I see a startup site for sale that has computer game on it and wanted to know has anyone had any experience with dealing with such? The site is for $200 and I was thinking using adsense or amazon affiliate banners for the site

    Be careful.

Website flippers can churn-out low-quality sites with the intention of making a quick buck (or often 200 of them) from relative newcomers. I imagine at $200, you're not buying an income site, but I'd still consider your options. If you have a little Wordpress know-how, you can very easily put together a nice site: domain, hosting, premium theme, WP optimizations and structuring, blammo, all done. As far as the gaming market goes: it's a good one. If I were you, though, I'd avoid adsense and use Amazon sparingly. There's far more money to be made in CPA offers: online games, game downloads, guides.

It might be worth it if you plan to build the site up (really profitable niche). However, if the site were making any money as it is, the seller would not be letting it go at such a low price point. It would be going for like 10 or 12 times its monthly income. If you decide to hold onto it and build it up, you could make a killing during the holidays. My nephew is always asking for a game. It's always a popular one that you can only seem to find on Amazon as the holidays near.
