Promote youtube videos through email list? Urgent!!

HI,

I have bought email list ( I think it was scrapped from facebook group users...)
any ways, I want to promote my videos using these emails.
So, I am torn between using facebook group posting software, or should I do email promotion of my videos.
I'm also scared of getting my videos banned or flagged if I send them massively to these
scrapped emails... What do you guys think?

(by the way I'm a newbie, so I don't know the exact terms for what I want to do.
hope you understand me )

Jason, I feel your fear is well founded If the emails were scraped, are these folks hungry to watch your videos, or to gobble up what you have to offer? I know my subscribers want what I am sending out 2 times weekly because they signed up for what I'm emailing after digging my podcasts, my eBooks and my mammoth-sized blog posts.

I'd start from scratch because numbers - especially scraped ones - can be fickle beasts, but folks who are hungry for what you got in your bag of tricks, they will run through a brick wall to read your posts, to watch your videos, to buy your eBooks, and these types of folks can't be bought, and certainly won't be coming off of a scraped list.

Start your blog. Self hosted, Wordpress. Create value. Become valuable. Build that list the old fashioned way to have a responsive, rabid list of buyers, at your disposal. You'll help them, they'll help you, and this Youtube question probably wouldn't be a question because you'd link up and embed the videos, they'd get crazy views, and yep, it would lead to some serious prospering.

You should build a list first who are interested in your content and then do a email blast.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but I think that list you bought is going to prove to be worthless.

First of all, you have no idea what these people are even into because they didn't opt-in to one of your squeeze pages.

I don't see how you can really send them much of anything if you have no idea what their interests are.

I guess you could take a few shots in the dark and maybe you will get lucky and some of them might want to watch your videos.

I don't think there would be any issue with YouTube as long as you are sending real human traffic to your videos. The only issue I could see happening is a very high bounce rate if most of the people who land on the video want nothing to do with what you're offering.

In the future, you should build your own niche specific list by sending targeted traffic to your squeeze pages. Buying lists is never really a good business practice IMO.

I have a strong feeling that if you try to import that list into a third party autoresponder, you will get a ton of complaints from people wondering where you got their email address from, and thus get your account shut down. I really don't think it's worth the potential fallout.

I agree with Ryan! Do not use a bought list. It will only bring you trouble. Also, Facebook just changed their API terms of service, so you are no longer able to automatically post content to Facebook groups.

Does this mean that all of this Facebook auto-posting software that is constantly coming out is now rendered worthless?

I actually think it's a good thing because I belong to a few IM and list building groups and it does get old seeing all of the spam and duplicate posts from people who are using some auto poster to flood all the groups with the same ads.
