Should I increase my post count for credibility

Hey guys, been a member of this forum for a few months and far from being a newbie. Will having no post hurt my credibility? I am not posting this to increase my post counts, just share your thoughts.

If you have any, (credibility) post count won't matter, it will quickly be apparent.

There are members with thousands of posts and "thanks" who don't have a shred.

Making posts that don't suck will help it.

It's not about how many you make, it's about what people remember. If you're "that guy who posts meaningless crap," nobody cares about your thousands of posts. If you're "that guy who posts awesome stuff," you only need a few.

It all boils down to how helpful you are.

If you post materials that add value to people's lives and actually help them get RESULTS, it doesn't matter how much or how often you post.

Focus on what you know and don't jeopardize your credibility by trying to answer questions about topics you're not very familiar with.

It's a good question to ask. It can hurt when you are trying to sell to people here. No posts means you are an unknown. You don't need a lot of posts to build a reputation here - just good posts that indicate a willingness to help and some knowledge to help with.

You joined last November and started posting ONLY when you launched a WSO here last week. I think many here hesitate to buy from someone who has never posted here at all but that's just my opinion.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

I'd say if you are adding useful value to all of your posts this can definitely help. In my opinion if you are an expert on a subject that alone will boost your credibility to me.

Making more posts to regurgitate what's already being thrown around won't do well. At least for those that know what 'blowing smoke' looks like.

If you have something good to say than by all means post.

The partial answer is in the first post on your thread:

Not directed at OP directly but the days of cobbling together a half assed report/meth/system etc. and starting a WSO are over... People are finally starting to wise-up...

Don't post to be posting. Find topics about which you have some knowledge and try to add something of value. If you have no or very few posts you won't be as trusted by some, but posting to be posting also won't help the trust factor.

Here is a simple exercise for you.

Find any thread asking a question and with a lot of replies (but not in the off topic forum, those usually are not about marketing).

Now read all of the responses. You'll probably see a ratio of 10-20% serious, reasoned attempts to answer and 80-90% short meaningless gibberish. By that, I mean people who obviously are answering without the conviction of personal experience. It ranges from the almost serious to the downright ludicrous.

Think about who in that thread you would want to take advice from in the future (or have any meaningful conversation with, for that matter).

And then you'll realize what kind of a contributor you'll want to be here, if at all.

  • You will build your credibility by providing quality threads and posts that solves a problem and adds value for your fellow forum members.

You don't have to be an expert in getting a million views to your offers or 3000 new people subscribing to your list in 1 day.

If you have a little successes, like getting 10 new subscribers per day to your email list, and know how to teach other newbies how to achieve the same results as you have, then you will become credible.

That's 70 new subscribers per week, and roughly about 301 new subscribers per month and 3737 new subscribers per year.

If you can help people add value to their business and help them increase their sales as well as your own, then people will enjoy reading your threads & posts and they will thank you abundantly for your great advice you give them

I see a lot of this going on... One or two liners incessantly posted and up to 20 or more Posts an hour.

I definitely know who these people are. And I think it is obvious to many of the other long time Members.

There sure is a lot of hot air in here and if you want to do the "hit and run" forum Posting here go ahead and inflate that post count.

But sooner or later people will catch on to what you're about. Trust me on that

Oh yeah, your right. How silly of Companies like Wrigley who sell f****** products like packs of gum for a one a time cost of .25 cents (per purchase)
Of course there is no money to be made with this or any intrinsic value offered with such a
      f****** product

I had the same question, from what I've read people here on the WF will either sniff a scammer/spammer or poser from a mile away regardless of post count. The new guy is just as trustworthy or untrustworthy as Joe Smoe down the road. Here's to hoping with both get the credibility we're after!
